Our favourite hotel on our tour of Sri Lanka. Great setting, wonderful layout. Room was comfortable and had all we needed. Loved the way the swimming pool was surrounded by fish filled moat and bushes. The open plan restaurant was wonderful to eat in as it looked out over the pool/grounds. Swimming pool was perfect for me (as someone who likes to do laps). Only downside is the gym has very little equipment other than aerobic machines. Staff were always super friendly and helpful (and efficient when battery in the safe ran out and was un-useable). Food was superb with a good selection of veggie and non-veggie options. Obviously a picturesque location as while we were there, there were 2 weddings and was being used for other wedding groups for their photographs. I stayed at Hotel Tropical Life Resort and Spa in May 2025 for the second time, and it was a truly refreshing experience from start to finish. The peaceful atmosphere, enhanced by the lush greenery and the gentle flow of a river behind the property, creates the perfect setting to unwind. The resort is beautifully maintained and offers a seamless blend of comfort and nature. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout the stay, always ready to make the experience better. My room was spotless, well-organized, and very comfortable. The swimming pool was clean and inviting—a great spot to relax during the warmer hours. The food selection was excellent, offering a balanced variety of flavors that suited everyone's preferences. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and matched the resort’s overall high standards. This resort continues to impress with its calm surroundings, quality service, and excellent facilities. Whether you're coming for the first time or returning like I did, it's a place worth every moment.
