Thompson Dallas by Hyatt

Wonderful hotel we had a blast! Rooms and food were AMAZING and the amenities are AWESOME! The spa experience was great and a very relaxing aromatherapy massage!

While our suite was very nice and exactly as we anticipated, it did not have any cold water. After 3 unsuccessful attempts to fix that, we had to move to a different suite, one that was not what we wanted, but we had no choice. That suite was right next to the elevator mechanical room and the noise kept us up throughout that night. We requested to be moved again and wound up back in our original suite where they had finally fixed the water issue. Having to pack, unpack, pack and then unpack again was not something we signed up for on what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. The other issue was the fact that they apparently were in transition on a contract with the company that provides local transportation for guests. That required us to use Ubers. An extra expense we weren't anticipating. I heard that Hyatt may be selling this property. Perhaps that's part of the reason for the issues.

I was really excited to stay at this hotel. Service if phenomenal. Hotel is awesome. Negatives - no luggage rack; no hooks for towels in bathroom; not enough seating at pool; extremely loud. They leave ear plugs in the room because they know you get lots of city noise. It sounded like a motorcycle race outside after midnight. Ear plugs did not work. There seems to be no insulation. I heard every little noise from the rooms next to me; especially when the toilet flushed and the neighbor locked himself/herself out. I am so glad we went here. Definitely a great place to stay. Just be prepared for the noise and lack of seating at the pool.

Thompson Dallas was a wonderful hotel. Such a great experience. We were looking for a boutique hotel for our Mom's staycation, and the Thomson delivered. The room was spacious, and the view was wonderful. The service was great. Everyone greeted us with s smile. Dinner was great the the on-site restaurant, and the Catbird was wonderful as well.
