Hyatt Place Dallas North Galleria

It is near a lot of things, but the hotel itself does not have a lot. This is the most bare bones Hyatt I have ever stayed at. There is no laundry room, no guidebook for the area. No microwave in the room, nor extra blankets in the room. Certain hotel staff are more helpful than others. Breakfast is great with lots of options. The hotel is approximately thirty minutes from DFW airport.

We arrived at noon I spoke to the front desk staff who were friendly . I had reserved a king suite high floor. Since we were early the room was not yet ready which is understandable. I returned after sightseeing around 5:30. I went to check and was told the room is no longer available they offered us a king suite on a lower floor. The view from that room was not acceptable, not so much of the actual view but there was huge Satellite antenna and a AC compressor right in front of the window. I then asked for a different room and the only rooms they could offer were rooms with double beds so we opted for that room instead of the huge obstruction in the window. I was also hoping to use the pool but the pool was dark green from algae. As a Rewards member I was disappointed that they couldn’t honor the reservation or offer any compensation for the inconvenience and not being able to use the pool. On a positive note the breakfast during our stay was better then expected with variety

Great location. Rooms are big and bed was very comfortable.Hotel was clean and secure, breakfast was really good in the morning different on both days that I stayed.

The entire experience from check-in to check-out was really fine! I liked the was I was treated by the staff and enjoyed the layout of the room, especially the provision of a very simple to use and accurate alarm clock by the bed.

I stayed here for business a few weeks ago, and was generally pretty underwhelmed. Pros: - Location is right next to the Galleria mall, and close to where I was working - Parking is plentiful, there is a fitness center and pool - Breakfast was free, and decent. The French Toast was pretty good, actually. - Free WSJ newspapers downstairs. - The TV is huge, and has a great array of hookups (VGA, HDMI, etc.) - There is a fridge in the room. Reasons: - When I checked in, the guy at the desk (who was very nice) asked what floor I'd like to be on. I said, "the highest floor where I'm far from the elevator." I ended up on the 5th floor (out of 6) directly next to the elevator. - I had reserved a King bed room, but instead got two doubles. - I ordered some food from the room that I would pick up (there is no room service, just food--which seemed reheated--at the bar). The hotel services employee said that they would call when the food is ready. After a half hour, I went down to check on it. It had been waiting for a while, and they had placed the wrong order. - The room was incredibly noisy. I could easily hear people showering in the room above, the elevator's mechanics were audible in the room, and every hour or two I would hear a VERY loud rumbling noise that would last for 10 minutes. It woke me up in the middle of the night two times. - The TV is placed in a really odd place; it does swivel, but if you're on the far bed, there's no way you could see it (look at the pictures). - WiFi didn't work in my room. I asked on the first day, and the woman said it was being fixed. It didn't work on the second day either. Luckily, there is strong 4G coverage on Sprint in the hotel. - A/C is based on window units, so the room can get a bit humid. Overall, it was a disappointing trip. I didn't complain while I was there, so I can't judge their responsiveness. I did mention all of this during my checkout, and the woman was apologetic.

🏨 Hyatt Hotel – Sunday Stay with Lobby Help from Chai Our stay at the Hyatt last Sunday was fantastic! Chai at the front desk was friendly and professional. The room was spotless with fresh sheets, the complimentary breakfast buffet had lots of great options, and free parking was a huge bonus. Excellent value and service — would definitely stay again.
