The room is clean and warm. It should be a relatively new hotel with good facilities. And it's very close to the beach, just a few minutes' walk away, which is very convenient for taking children to play in the water. The only demerit point is that the sound insulation effect is not very good. The wake-up song next door really woke me up, and the children next door also said: ”Slow down, make a louder sound.”
Supplement: The breakfast tastes good. Although there are not many varieties, it feels great to go out and play every day with full food👍🏻

如圖，五宿雅家庭套房太好了，細節滿滿，不光大人滿意，倆娃也超級滿意。一層公共區域有廚房、桌椅，有小童區（小帳篷户外滑梯都免費，但公共小浴池要收費，好像180yuan）。我們一家四口，定了五宿雅，在別墅的三層，有一張大床+一張上下鋪，有一個很大的露台，有浴缸（配兩個浴缸套），還有寶寶的洗浴用品和小拖鞋，連牙刷都是彩虹的，深得我心，幾乎滿足了對家庭房的期待。別墅區的環境很幽靜，房間佈置得很雅緻，可以幾家人一起來，包下一整棟別墅。一層出門處甚至還準備了好幾種驅蚊產品，真的太用心了。總體來説，除了不是海景房之外，這次大連之旅住上這麼好的民宿，真的可以打💯，可惜下手晚了，衹搶到了一晚。

1. The hotel is located right smack in the middle of action. There was a street food next door, with McD, Pizza Hut and KFC all within 05 mins of walking. There was a mall with a Walmart hypermarket at the underground level nearby. It is convenient for those who stayed more than a few nights and needed to provision for work in Dalian.
2. There is a university nearby, plus a hill overlooking the Dalian city which you can conveniently walk/jog up to in the morning/evening.
3, The room is sufficiently well spaced, the bed and pillows are comfy, the lights are decently illuminant, the shower water pressure strong and the temperature hot when you need it ; the room is well decorated, there is enough work space on the table, there is a fridge ; the basin, the toilet bowl, and the shower room are independent of each other. In other words, a well thought out room layout. The lighting control is well calibrated, the central air conditioning is quiet, there is a special pop-out plug points on the table for laptops and phone charging.
4. The breakfast is good, a bit of every kind, mainly Chinese dish but some Western oriented salad style vege/fruits for those who need it. Milk is available (not something to be taken for granted in China as milk is not commonly available)
5. There is a free laundry room for use, the detergent and softener are provided free-of-charge ; iron and iron board is available as well.
6. The hotel service is tightly run by its Manager who ensure the staff are always tending as soon as possible to the customers. A special thanks to reception staff 孙晓辉 for patiently helping out with China-specific app for about 30 mins.

Initially, I was a little troubled when I couldn’t find the front desk on the main floor, but a few minutes later, a friendly and helpful staff member assisted me. She escorted me to my room, explained all the services, and allowed me to enjoy the spacious, comfortable room with its unmatched view.
The next day, after running the Dalian Marathon, I was completely exhausted. To my surprise, the same kind lady arranged for me to extend my stay by two hours and even personally helped me get a taxi. I’m truly grateful for her exceptional hospitality—thank you so much!, 悦禾

We stayed as a family for four nights at The Castle Dalian and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our spacious and beautifully decorated room on the 12th floor offered stunning views of the sea, making our stay truly memorable.
The hotel’s entrance lobby is impressively large and elegantly designed, creating a welcoming atmosphere right from the start. For families with children, there is a large play area available, which requires an additional fee. Fortunately, hotel guests receive a discounted rate.
Outside, the hotel boasts a charming small park with fantastic views over the bay and lovely landscaping—perfect for a relaxing stroll. The hotel is situated on a small hill, so the walk back to the city center is a bit long. However, the free shuttle bus service is very convenient, providing easy transport down to the city and back.
Our room was thoughtfully furnished and very spacious, including a large and well-equipped bathroom. One minor downside was that there was only one power outlet next to the bed (on one side only), and no USB ports for charging phones, which would have been a nice addition.
Breakfast and other meals at the hotel were delicious, with a rich selection of both Chinese and Western dishes to choose from. The only area for improvement would be the cleanliness of the restrooms in the breakfast restaurant, which unfortunately were often untidy and in need of more frequent attention.
The swimming pool, maintained at 27°C, was not ideal for small children as there is no separate kids’ section. Guests should also note that wearing a swim cap is mandatory. The pool area includes a mini Finnish sauna and a steam sauna integrated into the changing rooms. However, there are only loungers next to the pool, so the sauna experience was quite different from the relaxing sauna visits we are used to in Europe.
Overall, The Castle Dalian offers a lovely stay with beautiful views, excellent food, and family-friendly amenities, making it a great choice for travelers visiting the area.

Immediately after check-in, a supervisor asked to connect on WeChat, offering direct contact for any issues. They did promptly address many of our concerns later, which was excellent service. However, the room always had a peculiar, indefinable smell – I couldn't quite place if it was dampness or something else. It was barely tolerable. One significant disappointment was that I chose this hotel primarily because their website advertised a children's playground. However, it turned out to be an affiliated indoor play area next door, not an on-site facility, and it required an additional charge. Moreover, for a five-star hotel, it was quite unbelievable to discover previous guests' hair in the bathtub. To their credit, the hotel's attitude in addressing this was very good. The children's pool was another major letdown; the water was full of white floating debris, making it quite visibly dirty.

AAnonymous UserAn absolutely perfect stay. The InterContinental Dalian boasts luxurious, elegant, and grand facilities. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and inviting, offering breathtaking views of the East Port shipyard and the ocean. Its prime downtown location provides incredibly convenient access to subway and bus lines, and taxi rides around the city are also very affordable. It's just a short walk to the historic century-old buildings around Zhongshan Square. Check-in was a breeze, and the service was attentive and incredibly warm.
A special thank you to DANA at the front desk for her excellent service. I also appreciate the doormen who always helped me with my bags from the taxi. Finally, kudos to the F&B department for the thoughtful gesture of delivering red date and pear soup to my room in the evening, which was a perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. Dalian truly is a fantastic city!

GGuest UserI originally booked a king-size bed room without windows, but when I checked in, the front desk lady upgraded me to a family room for free. It has an extra-large double bed and a single bed. The room is large and well decorated. It is very close to Xi'an Road subway station. The price/performance ratio is great. I will stay here again next time. I highly recommend it.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel accepts foreigners. Great location, a walking distance from Dalian Station, essentially on Zhongshan Square. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was good, there's even a washing machine (didn't use it though). The staff was kind and helpful. Perhaps the only problem was that the room card didn't work, so I had to get a password, which also expired daily at midnight, and I had to contact the reception to get a new one. But that's not how it's supposed to be, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Overall, a great option.
