There are both pros and cons to staying at this hotel and its location.
Pros:
The rooms are very spacious with high ceilings, giving a comfortable, open feel.
There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
If you're lucky to catch the sunset, the view from the balcony or rooftop overlooking Lake Erhai is stunning.
They offer large bottles of water (5–5.5L) for just 8 RMB. An excellent deal.
The hotel is close to Ho Shan, where the botanical garden at the summit is absolutely spectacular. There's even a charming coffee shop there that's perfect for relaxing.
Cons:
The hotel is quite far from the train station; we paid over 100 RMB for a taxi ride to get there.
The mattress was extremely uncomfortable—it felt more like a box spring, with the springs pressing into our bodies. We ended up using the comforter from the second bed as padding. I personally woke up four times during the first night due to discomfort. Honestly, it's one of the least comfortable beds I've encountered worldwide. That said, if you prefer a very firm mattress, this might actually suit you.
Note: This was the only place in my extensive travel experience where we were provided with disposable bath towels and washcloths instead of standard fabric towels.

The view is amazing. The rooms are sparkly clean. Nice spot in the balcony to just sit, relax and stare at the mountains. The owner even went out of their way to take care of us.

You can watch the sea and seagulls in the room. The beach opposite was under maintenance so we couldn't go there!
It's right next to Huanhai Road!
You can walk along the coast when it's not hot!
