The is no elevator or Bell service. The facilities and property is run down. The stair well and hallways were filthy. They had not been swept and/or vacuumed in days nor mopped. There was spilled coffee and stains and liquids. The carpets were stained and filthy!
There were no wash cloths for the shower and I caught two housekeepers walking walking down the hallway and asked them for washcloths. they said "We will try and find some." And replied "Try?" and they said they did not know if they had any. So they asked what room I was in. They did bring us three washcloths. One was stained a dirty brown. One was so threadbare it was unusable and the other was fine.
The room itself was Ok but not waterfront as I had expected. The bed was comfortable and fresh and the room was quiet. But the shower did not drain well and we stood in water when showering.
The only reason we stayed was we made a last minute decision to stay in town after driving 6 hours to pick up a piece of equipment and it was after 6 pm.
It was very disappointing especially considering it was the most expensive room in town!

This once beautiful property is "riding on its past laurels", does not remotely live up to its former (?) reputation and has ownership milking today's guests for service and product long gone. The photos preented herein are on the order of ten-plus years old. The Plantation is in need of a major renovation to modernize/makeover and bring it up to 2025 resort standards....not to mention justifying a ridiculous "resort fee". Crystal River has much to offer--The Plantation is no longer 'one of 'em'.

This is something I've wanted to do for years. Captain Dave and Tyler were excellent guides. They spotted multiple manatees for us, took awesome photos throughout, and made this experience everything we'd hoped it would be! Highly recommend!!

they were hit by the huricane a few months ago and had major flood damage, and will not be back in business until the spring sorry to say. So will not be staying during my winter visit this year, maybe next year. we were not able to stay there this year

Hotel was old very dingy looking had to move my room because the air conditioner did not work and the room They put us in had an indoor AC that barely worked. then when you get there they tell you they’re charging you $144.50 they do not tell you That that money would be coming out after you left and they charge you for parking the only good thing I can say about this hotel is at the tiki bar. There is a bartender don’t remember his name he’s an army veteran and that was the only good part of our stay here I will never go here again. Be aware.

Do not stay! Run away! This hotel is disgusting and should just close. First day at check in there was a straw in the floor, food from prior guest in the fridge, dirt on floor and no hand soap in the bathroom! The next day after house keeping came in, they never swept and no soap still! The prior guests food still remained in the room! Run away! A motel 6 is better! It’s filthy and smells! I had to find a house keeping closet to sweep my own floor!

Driving up to the hotel you feel that in it's day it could have been very nice. Upon entering the lobby you realize it's now been let go and needs to be torn down. Smells of mold and mildew. Our room was disgusting and filthy. The tub looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in who know's how long. Toilet wouldn't properly flush so maintenance brings us a plunger to keep in the room. Bed was so old and rickety it sounded and felt like it would fall to the ground. Each night stand had a lamp but the room only had one plug in and so only one lamp worked. We could hear the guest in the room next door clear his throught and both sides of his phone calls the walls were so thin. Ate dinner one night in the restaurant and it was terrible. Ordered clams and mussels and we were presented 5. Ridiculous! Would recommend to everyone to NOT stay at this hotel.
