The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Overall, it's good accomodation, IMO. For our stay, the drying room failed. Everything was still soaking wet in the morning. I got the impression that the blame was on some thermostat fiddling, but who knows. If someone was being mischievous, my suggestion to the managers is that they repair the door so that it closes by itself, because it was usually open, making the combination lock redundant. It ain't secure. I think the dryer ought to be checked before everyone knocks off for the (early) evening. Given the drying room situation, I'd like to have a hairdrier in the room without needing to ask for one (especially because the staff are not there all the time). The heater in the room is electric and not an oil heater, so you can't put anything on it to dry without starting a fire (there's an amusing notice sternly warning you about this). The towel heater was very small. The packed breakfast for two was comically poor - a bunch of random items in a bag. One muffin - huh? I didn't care that much, but the overall impression I got from this place was that someone needs to pay more attention to detail (we had a minor room issue too). It gives the impression of being a part time operation sitting on its laurels, but perfectly fine if your room doesn't have any issues and the drying room works for you.

We stayed here on our 4th night of the West Highland Way. We were not expecting much at all, having booked as part of a package and not looked at any reviews. What a lovely surprise! The rooms were huge and the bed..........dear Lord, I would pay a King's Ransom to sleep in that bed again. Best night's sleep I had had in ages - and not just because I'd walked 15 miles that day. The rooms were spotless and spacious, with a fridge and a bath and shower (the deep bath was a Godsend after walking all day) as well as a TV. The only thing that let the place down was the lack of cooked breakfast. We were given a breakfast pack which was nice enough but it would have been nice to have the option of a cooked breakfast. I appreciate that the site does not have the facilities, but perhaps a little partnership with one of the establishments along the road would give guests the option of having something hot in their tummies before taking on the day!? The shop on site is well equipped and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is also a drying room for wet walking kit which came in very handy for us and there are places to eat a short walk up the main road. We will certainly return to this site with our kids as it is fantastic value for money and is in a great location for exploring.

Tyndrum Lodges provided a wonderful, restful night after a day on the West Highland Way. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, with plenty of space, and the bathroom had everything a traveller needs. The Lodges are in a great location, and the staff was amazing! I would definitely stay there again!

Had one night last week, staying in a triple room at Tyndrum Lodges whilst walking the West Highland Way. It was without a doubt the best night’s sleep I had during my week on the Way. The bed was so comfortable, I had 2 pillows, the linen was high quality and most importantly, the mattress was like a soft cloud and didn’t creak if I turned over during the night. Our triple room was big enough for us to each have our cases open all at the same time, unlike all of the other places where we stayed along the Way. There was a hanging rail and a fridge and fluffy towels along with a great courtesy tea tray with tea, coffee & biscuits. The black out curtains did what they were supposed to do - also the best ones we had along the route. The room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom had a bath as well as an overhead shower. It was without doubt one of our accommodation highlights. The view from our window was good too.

What a hidden gem. Excellent accommodation, which was spotlessly clean, tidy and had everything that was required for our stay. It was nice to have a warm welcome upon arrival and nothing seemed too much trouble, A perfect place to stay for the Highlands. Highly recommended, we will certainly return.

Spacious, comfortable and clean rooms at the south end of Tyndrum. Easy walk downhill from Upper Tyndrum train station and easy walk along the road for restaurants and shop. We had a breakfast bag which was good - plenty to eat but would have preferred a cooked breakfast. Also nowhere to eat inside the room except on your lap - would be good to have a small table. The beds were super comfy and the lodges are in a great location.
