Recently I've been a relatively frequent visitor of this hotel and often eat in the fairways resturant... honestly in two minds after the service recieved this week! Currently I am not able to eat very much, so my last visit in June i asked for two starters to merged into one (having it as a main meal) the garlic mushrooms and the garlic prawns.. absolutely delicious and as expected an additional cost to merge them.. but all in all came to £14.. was extremely happy and very full. Fast forward to a recent visit.. asked for the same thing, the older waitress didn't seem to grasp what I asked for and came with both starters on two separate plates. I sent it back and had said I wanted the mushrooms with the prawns on top.. came back and again didn't grasp it and basically gave me a long plate with a starter at either side. When I went to speak to the waitress to make sure I was getting charged the same price, she perisitantly looked for who my previous server was in June on my receipt and simply said she shouldn't of done that she's JUST a waitress. I personally found this to be very rude and highly inappropriate. If the older lady had been there when I was served by this lovely young lady in June, she would of seen this "just" waitress went and spoke with the chef and asked if it was possible and for the cost! Her customer service was excellent! The older waitress this week customer service was not! She advised I should never have been charged that previously and refused to speak to the chef.. instead spoke for them advising that they wouldn't do it at that price. Very poor service, not what I expect from this hotel. On my next visit might be worth bypassing the fairways resturant - A if they can't accomodate and B if the older waitress is working.

The rooms are like a sweat box, no aircon and windows hardly open, not the best 2 nights sleep thank god it was not warmer weather

Check in was easy. Got to room and it was very hot inside. No air conditioning. Windows only open 2 inches due to safety locks. No fridge. Clean and simple however expected more for the price. Room overlooked the restaurant/bar and loud groups drinking till after 11pm. Not ideal when visiting for a major sporting event and athlete needed sleep. Gym very small. Variety of equipment but more than 2 people in would be uncomfortable.

The staff were so kind and helpful and the room was spectacular bed was comfy and the pillows were soft room came with a balcony was a surprise would come again
