We had the best day ever in this wonderful hotel who hosted my daughter's wedding today. It was just a small wedding, 15 guests in total, and Emma and the staff were so helpful and made the wedding so special. The grooms family were from Spain and had such a great time. We returned to the Villa Rose for a stay over Easter and had a lovely time. This hotel is a perfect base for touring beautiful Donegal or for shopping in McElhinneys just across the road. We were allocated the suite on this occasion and it was extremely comfortable with a fabulous bed, lovely coffee machine, luxurious chocolates, mineral water and all you need for a relaxing stay. The bathroom was huge with natural light from the large window. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff (mainly Donegal locals) were very welcoming and were clearly happy at work and committed to welcoming and looking after their guests. It is nice to stay in an Irish owned and run hotel which is clearly an asset to the town of Ballybofey. Breakfast was perfect each morning. As it was midweek we didn’t get to dine in the main restaurant and so ate in the bar and our meals were delicious. On one of the evenings there was a local traditional Irish music group playing in the reception area and this added to the ambience. All in all we had a very comfortable and relaxing stay in the Villa Rose, a hotel which offers very good value, comfort and hospitality.

Had a very pleasant stay despite being a short one and one person not feeling 100%!!!
Had the best night’s sleep in a long time. Room and bed very comfortable.

Lovely hotel and staff. Our friends were having a night away following their wedding a few weeks earlier and a card and chocolates were left in the room for them. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice and was well worth paying the extra for. Will definitely stay again.

Stayed here last Saturday night for the night. Room was spotless, very big room, very comfy bed. Meal in restaurant was lovely. Breakfast was lovely, got it delivered to the room. Staff friendly. This was my second visit to hotel. Will be back.

The room was very nice and even the service from when we first stepped into the villa rose from getting the room organised till we had finished up the following day the service was second to none, food was top class and was very easy to get tabled

Recently stayed at the hotel and from initial checking in to checking out it was a five star expedience.Accommodation was excellent , food fabulous , staff exceptional and couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable ! I have stayed here on several occasions before and plan to return in the near future ! Great location, fabulous spa , didn’t avail on this visit but have in the past ! Attaching some photos of the meal on our first night stay 30/1/25 .. Every time I return it definitely get better .. Breakfast fab , we had our dinner in the bar and it was exceptional ..
