First time to visit Arnold’s hotel for a meal after recommendations but sadly I would not visit again! My husband and I had the surf and turf ! We specifically asked for it to well done, however mine was pink in the middle and I showed it to the waitress who said she’ll get me a new one! By the time she came back I had to tell her my chips were cold and I needed a new fork as mine was taking away with the steak! My husband had finished his meal by the time mine came back! This is not acceptable when you go out as a couple to have dinner! The steak was nice though! When I went to pay the guy at the bar asked me was everything ok and I explained! A lady came to the bar and said she’ll would take 10% off! Not good customer service care could hardly make eye contact with me! Definitely won’t be back! You need to look after customers!

I wanted to write a review to say how friendly, efficient and hard working all the bar, kitchen and restaurant serving staff are at the Arnold hotel. We stayed two nights on a very busy and hot 1st weekend in July. Dunfanaghy was very busy with visitors at start of the holiday season and in the run up to The Open golf across the border, so the hotel was full and demand for food and drink was high. The staff worked long shifts in the heat but the standard of service never dropped. Well done to all the team! (Oh and the hotel was fine too - right on the high street though, so rooms at the front get a lot of noise from revellers outside on a warm weekend evening, so don't request a sea view if you want an early night!) Only one small niggle - would it hurt to put a box of tissue in the room for guests??

Was in this afternoon and had tea and scones. Watched the world go by from the seating at the front of hotel. Staff where so friendly and funny. Scones where fresh and simply delicious with homemade raspberry jam and fresh cream. All in all the best way to spend a slightly rainy Thursday afternoon.

With my daughter and son on Saturday 28/06/25. Nice food, room good, service good. A big let down was the dj in the bar which was extremely loud. We moved to foyer to have our drinks as did 18 more guests. Why the management didn’t recognise this is beyond me.

The rooms were spotless, the staff friendly and very efficient. The food was great and I am very hard to please. Fantastic evening meal and super breakfast. Brought back our love for Dunfanaghy. We will be back soon 100%. Again the young floor staff were so nice…. Loved our weekend

Lage zwar an der Hauptstraße,aber wunderschöner Blick auf die Bucht. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet.Das Frühstück wird am Tisch serviert und ist hervorragend.Diner in der Bar ist sehr gemütlich und zu empfehlen!Der Service ist in allen Bereichen sehr gut und immer sehr freundlich.Die ganze Atmosphäre im Hotel ist sehr angenehm.Wir haben uns dort immer wohgefühlt!

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in this excellent hotel. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, creating a relaxed atmosphere whilst providing excellent service, and it was good to see that the hotel employs local young people. Both breakfast and dinner were very good. The surrounding area is incredibly beautiful with world class beaches and wonderful walking - our trip to Tory Island was truly memorable - puffins and all.

The food here is seriously good — fresh, well-cooked, and full of flavour. You can tell quality ingredients are being used, and everything arrives at the table looking and tasting great. It’s the kind of menu where it’s hard to choose because everything sounds appealing. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. They strike a nice balance between being attentive and giving you space, and they seem to actually enjoy working there, which adds to the relaxed feel of the place.
