I just returned from Kurdenin and I have to give a huge thumbs up to the ”Yicheng You Ni” B&B! This gem of a B&B was responsible for much of the comfort and delights of this trip.
The courtyard: A picturesque experience! I was captivated the moment I entered. The entire courtyard is thoughtfully designed, with flowers, plants, and trees arranged in a harmonious pattern, brimming with natural charm yet still remaining refined. Sitting in the courtyard, watching the sunset paint the sky a crimson crimson from a lounge chair, and gazing at the starry sky from the terrace at night (on a clear day, the Milky Way is clearly visible!)—this tranquility and grandeur are a luxury you simply can't find in the city. The courtyard is immaculately kept, making for stunning photos!
The room: Cozy and comfortable, with impeccable attention to detail! Our room was spacious and bright, with large windows framing the beautiful scenery outside like a flowing painting. The complimentary special refreshments in the room were delicious. The bedding was clean and soft, making it incredibly comfortable and refreshing. A good night's rest after a hike is so important. The rooms are well-equipped, with plenty of hot water (critical in the mountains!). The overall decor is simple and natural, creating a relaxing, home-like feeling. The B&B's location is perfect! It's right near the Kurdenin Scenic Area, making it very convenient for sightseeing. More importantly, it feels like it's immersed in the stunning scenery. The surroundings are serene, with only the sounds of the wind, birdsong, and the occasional cacophony of cattle and sheep, truly escaping the hustle and bustle. Sitting in the room or in the courtyard, you're surrounded by a panorama of forests, grasslands, and snow-capped mountains. This feeling of being embraced by nature is incredibly soothing and refreshing.
The food at this place is truly authentic and a real bonus! The owner and his wife are incredibly skilled cooks, using fresh local ingredients. We tried the signature large plate of free-range chicken (so delicious!) and hand-pulled lamb (tender and flavorful, grilled, without a hint of mutton). The grilled meat was truly the best we've had in Xinjiang. There's also a variety of seasonal stir-fries and vegetarian dishes, all incredibly delicious! The portions are generous, and we were completely satisfied. The breakfast rolls, pancakes, and various side dishes were also authentic and delicious. Eating such delicious, warm home-cooked meals in the mountains was such a blessing! ”Yicheng Youni” was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Kurdenin! It's more than just a place to stay; it's a warm, welcoming place where you can slow down and immerse yourself in the beauty of Kurdenin. The hostess is warm and welcoming, and the service is attentive and thoughtful. If you're looking for a place in Kurdenin with beautiful scenery, great rooms, delicious food, and a sense of peace, this is the place to stay! I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Kurdenin.
Highly recommended: Remember to book in advance during peak season! This place is worth it!
