Playa Park Zensation

The hotel is around 30mins from the airport. Room was nice and tidy - premium junior suite Nice infinity pool on the roof. Food was amazing, there was something different everyday. I highly recommend and will stay again.

The resort location is good, located near the ***** and plenty of shops and restaurants. The closest beach was quite rocky, the sandy beach was about a 40 minute walk away. The service and house cleaning at the resort is great. Was a little disappointed with my room situation, two single beds instead of a double bed, not ideal for a couple. The food at the resort wasn't the best, it was quite bland.

Do your research. Food was an issue Shortage of staff Slow bar service Rooms are great, pool area great although there is a sun bed rule in place.

We recently returned from a weeks stay here. Originally at time of booking, until we read through the reviews, we'd booked to stay in a standard Junior suite ( 2 rooms ) with garden or pool view until, we'd read that there is no air con and you are excluded from certain food, drinks and access to the roof terrace pool unless you'd booked to stay in the newer Zensation block. We thought by selecting ' all inclusive that it meant exactly that but, unless you upgrade to stsy in the Zensation block, which we did in the end, we'd be ' excluded' from certain things within the hotel. A 4 star hotel abroad, you'd expect air con in your rooms at the very least and to have to upgrade via our travel agent at extra expense, was not ideal. There was a 2 hour delay via our flight so we arrived at the hotel at gone 11.pm. After a 12 hour day travelling, like other hotels we've stayed in who offered bottled water or food, we were advised there was no food or drink available but that there was a Burger King 20 minutes walk away. This, is what we did as a family and ended up getting back to the hotel at gone midnight. Bottled water should be offered to guests at the very least in a 4 star establishment in our opinion. Despite upgrading both our rooms to the Zensation block and the rooms were air conditioned and clean and comfortable, we were disappointed to open the curtains to a view of a car park and rubble. ( See photo ). After speaking to Reception the following morning and advising we'd requested a pool view and already had paid extra to be upgraded to rooms with air con via our travel agent, the manager unhappily stated " everyone wants a pool view ". However they were able to move one of our rooms to a pool view 3 days later. The hotel is lovely and clean and house keeping is provided daily. The pools are lovely but we didn't use them. The Sun bed situation as in previous reviews is ridiculous and hoardes of people are waiting in groups at gone 9 am to grab them for the day. The main beach is a 7 minute taxi drive away and we chose to this on a couple of days instead as you can always find a nice place to sit on the beach. Again like previous reviews, the wristband and having to present and tap your card before every drink or meal, got tiresome and if you had one without the other, you were turned away. If nobody to greet you at mealvtimes, staff would chase you to cone back and tap your card. We felt sorry for the staff having to do this but also, it made no sense for us guests. The system is flawed and does not make for a smooth guest experience as a whole. For all of the reasons mentioned in our review, we wouldn't return here but if you want to stay in a clean hotel that's not in the heart of the resort, that has nice, polite staff, ( especially the bar staff and the smiley barman in the evenings) average food with exception to the a' la carte evening, then this will be perfectly adequate.

This hotel is lovely especially the choice of food, the location is also great and only a short walk to a few bars and shops, and around 20 mins walk into Corralejo. The beach is approximately 800 metres away. If you are staying here I would book a junior suite as the other rooms are quite small. You also get access to the infinity pool with these rooms. Good choice of drinks and frozen glasses for the beer. The Italian restaurant food was amazing. Overall a lovely stay but the entertainment needs improving! The only downside for us was our room wasn’t ready when we got there and the queuing for the sun beds was ridiculous, the hotel needs to stick to the rules they have in place so people can’t reserve them but typically this doesn’t happen. Would return though.

Went as a group of 6, 2 families. 2 couples stayed in the newer Zensation block, one in the main wing. Staff were friendly, food was great, plenty of choice & everywhere very clean. We had access to the rooftop infinity pool & bar, where Noah (behind the bar) & the pool guy, don’t know his name were great! It doesn’t open till 11am, which is late if you wanted to sunbathe early (doors open 10:45). Plenty of available sun loungers. The only downside is the sports bar only serving 2 drinks per person, which if you are a family of 4, means you have to go up quite often, plus only having 1 barman serving means there is quite a queue. There are no serve yourself drinks in the sports bar, and in the pool bar, the only alcohol you can self serve is the beer. Feel they could minimise the queues by having soft drinks, beer & wine machines in both evening bars. Having been to all inclusive resorts before, we were used to being able to help ourself to drinks other than spirits. We still had a fabulous time, and would definitely go back again.
