Creedons Traditional Irish Welcome Inn B&B

Very close to bus station and very quiet considering it is on a busy shopping street. They text you a door code before check in which caused issue as i didnt have wifi yet and needed to call them. Also as this is self check nowhere to leave your luggage for early or late check out. Room was nice but bathroom very tight considering age of building. Good base to explore Cork or go shopping. Train station is walkable with light luggage. Also considering there is a bar downstairs I never heard loud music either.

First of all, Creedons is NOT a B&B!! False advertising as no breakfast is served. This "bed-only" accommodation is a dump. After a long and steep climb up to our room, my husband and I were greeted with stained carpet, cracks and holes in the walls, a rock-hard bed, mold in the shower, and in general, what we Americans would call a "s*hole." The walls are paper-thin too, which is why there are "sshhh" signs everywhere. Yeah, that's really going to make a difference when there is a pub right downstairs! There's no service or staff to complain to either, you're on your own. We actually ended up staying at a different hotel for the two nights, this is place was so gross. Creedon's didn't address our concerns either when we brought them up, they just wanted to make sure they got the room key back. Terrible business, shouldn't be in business.

If paper-thin walls, small rooms, windows that want to fall INTO the room (I couldn't post a video of this, but when you unlocked the window it almost fell INTO the room instead of swinging open as the top hinge was not connected to the window), mildew showers, duct tape for sealant, strange caulking for ceiling repairs, backward water taps in the toilet, and the inability to regulate the heat in your room is your thing, then this is the place for you! It is listed outside (and indeed, in the. name) that this is a B&B (bed AND breakfast), but now it's just "bed". The check-in process was strange, at best, requiring you to send your arrival time via email, and then, once you arrive, the doorbell doesn't (apparently) work so you have to call to be let in? The *only* thing this place has going for it is its location. I don't see this place making it much longer. Oh, and it's above a pub not associated with the "bed"...so if there's live music at night, you'll hear it quite clearly, including the street-side "after party" the pub-goers hold in the street. We are SO glad we only stayed the 1 night...I have no idea how people that have stayed here several nights in a row were able to put up with all of the negative aspects of this place.
