Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa

We had an incredible stay at Inchydoney. The location is absolutely perfect—looking out on to the beach, offering breathtaking views from our room. Waking up to the sound of the wind and waves whilst tucked up snuggly in bed was fabulous. The staff were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help without being intrusive. They made sure everything was just right, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Special mention to Dervla (I think that was her name) in the Gulfstream restaurant on Sunday night and Brendan in the Bistro. The food was another highlight. Every meal was delicious, the quality was top-notch. I recommend the glass of champagne with your breakfast. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with amazing views, excellent service, and delicious food, this is the place to be. Can't wait to return!

I stayed for 2 nights in Inchydoney for a solo trip. It had been a number of years since my last visit so I was keen to return. I was very happy that the experience was just as good as the first time. The location is perfect, situated on 2 beautiful beaches. I really enjoyed walking the beaches and being by the wild sea. The rooms are very comfortable with wonderful sea views from the balcony. The staff are very friendly & efficient, and the welcome is warm and without fuss, everyone is treated like an old friend which is so nice. Bar food on my first night was very good, and reasonably priced. For my second night I dined in the Gulfstream Restaurant. The food there was excellent, and the warm, friendly service by Dearbhla and Emma was top notch and much appreciated. The extra touches this hotel gives to the guest, for example the welcome drink, the gift on checkout, the nightly chocolates to the room, and the card with the tempting rate for an additional night's stay, is what elevates this hotel above others. When I stayed there was some renovation works ongoing out the back, but I was fully informed in advance and therefore the small bit of noise didn't bother me at all, in fact it was very minimal. The personal email from Des the proprietor after my stay was something you don't get from other hotels either, so I definitely think Inchydoney has good service down to a fine art. I would definitely recommend this hotel and think a lot of other hotels could learn from them!

Staff are wonderful and reflect the warmth of the West Cork people. Food is fab, as are the pillows and beds. Of course, you can't beat the location, beautiful in winter and summer. I'd go any time of year to this hotel.😃 you can go on a beautiful coastal drive which is also the route for the West Cork rally on St Patrick's weekend.

Our extended family have being going to this beautiful hotel every New Year for more than 20 years. Hotel ticks all the boxes , well managed, clean, good food & most importantly lovely patient & friendly staff , Julie, Lorraine & Michelle deserve a special mention ! The views are out of this world & beach walks are a must ! We always try to get there for a relaxing weekend during the year too. Looking forward to returning ASAP.

This was our second visit and we were not disappointed again. From booking to check-in to check-out, the experience was excellent. All staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. A very comfortable bed, warm, clean room with a wonderful sea view. Food scrummy 😋 great wine list 🥂🍾 We are already looking forward to our next visit. Love it 🥰

We arrived at Inchadoney for our first visit of the year and we weren't disappointed. We had chosen the linger longer package and had made reservations for Dunes pub and the Gulf Stream Restaurant in advance with the help of the wonderful reception team. On arrival we were given a very warm welcome and check in took only a few minutes, we were offered complimentary refreshments which were very nice after our long drive. Our double room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the view from the balcony was amazing. Our dining experience, whether it was breakfast in the restauraunt each morning, lunch or dinner in Dunes Pub, fine dining in the Gulf Stream Restaurant, were excellent ,food was amazing and service was outstanding. A lovely enjoyable morning was spent in the pool and Island spa where I had a lovely treatment which was very refreshing and relaxing. Overall the team at Inchadoney delivered a wonderful experience which enabled us to have a fabulous restful break in a beautiful natural setting. We are already booked to return at Easter!
