Talk about a hidden Gem! An oasis of Tranquility in Douglas, the bustling village suburb of Cork. This was our first day here, and it was absolutely fantastic. From when John the guest relations manager welcomed us into the hotel, and Alex had us checked in within minutes of arriving. The rooms are well appointed, with excellent lighting, bedside furniture, and fantastic showers. We were lucky enough to have a garden room which was delightful. The gardens are manicured and beautiful, and we were lucky enough to see several rabbits frolicking under the trees. Even though I live less than an hour and a half from the property, I had never been there or seen it before. I was amazed to pull down the beautiful leafy driveway into such an oasis of calm. We didn’t have time to explore the leisure centre or spa, but we plan on doing so on the next day. All in all, the best place to stay in Cork

We had a truly lovely stay at the Maryborough Hotel. The building and grounds are beautiful, creating a peaceful, luxurious atmosphere from the moment you arrive – with easy parking a definite plus. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches like welcome prosecco and chocolates much appreciated. The spa was a real highlight, especially the women’s-only area and tranquil Zen garden. Spa staff were exceptionally warm and attentive. Dinner was excellent, and staff throughout the hotel were consistently kind and helpful. Breakfast was good, though service could be a little inconsistent during busy times. A minor note: the shower in our room could use some attention. Overall, a fantastic stay in a gorgeous setting with excellent service – we’d love to return.

This stunning historical hotel is quite possibly one of my favourite hotels in the world. With beautifully landscaped gardens and tons of genuine Irish olde world charm you won’t find a more elegant and peaceful hotel in Douglas or Cork city. The staff are incredible. I rarely comment on individuals and to be honest every single member of the team, from Johanus at reception, Alan & Connor serving the drinks and cocktails, the cheerful, well mannered staff manning the restaurant (Hello Ben 👊) and their amazing cleaning crew what can I say but thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️. I had the misfortune to stay in the Bellagio in Vegas and they could do well to send management here to see how a hotel should be managed. Miss staying here at your peril. Perfectly located for sight seeing you won’t be disappointed. The Gym, Sauna and pools are hygienically flawless. To Martin, you have an amazing team who must surely make your difficult job so much easier and my hat is off to you sir. 5 stars 🌟

We had the perfect experience for our daughter’s christening in Belini’s restaurant. Luke and Iyesha looked after us from start finish, were so helpful and we didn’t want for anything all evening. The food was just incredible.

We have just returned home from a visit to the Maryborough hotel in Cork. From start to finish everything was fantastic, the newly refurbished bedrooms are so tasteful and comfortable. The bathrooms are 2nd to none!! I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, especially Martin!!

Myself and a friend went for the day to the spa and had lunch afterwards. The hydrotherapy pool was lovely and the facial I had was one of the best I’ve ever had . All credit due to Lucy who went above and beyond. I have felt relaxed ever since ! Our lunch in the bar afterwards was fantastic, food was great with to die for baked cheesecake afterwards. A lovely day out , will definitely be back 😊
