The room was actually quite nice, but the bathroom was outside the room, even though it was private. The main thing I felt was the owner was rather cold and distant. When I asked about highway tolls, she flatly said she didn't know anything about them. That's fine, after all, not helping is part of the job. I was walking in the hotel courtyard when she drove. I saw her approaching and quickly dodged to the side, hiding in the bushes by the road. She then sped towards me, feeling incredibly hostile. I couldn't quite put my finger on what was going on. Overt hostility was rare during my time in the British Isles, but this owner was the only time I felt that way. Perhaps even the only time.

Not bad, felt like I was staying at someone's home. I don't like that kind of feeling. But aside from marks on linen it was very clean and well kept. Although the breakfast is supplied you have to make your own food. Upstairs bathrooms are not connected to the room. A separate key is provided and a walk down the hallway is required . A fine place but a little over priced. One or two nights is tolerable.

Great concept, needs maintenance
Beautiful home, great concept but very run down. Our host was personable. Old fixtures, shower handles fell off, toilet seats didn’t fit, curtain rods hung sideways, one headboard was crooked and very flimsy. Sheets were old and stained. However, the beds were comfortable.

Overall, there is nothing wrong with this property. It had two bedrooms, a kitchen and dining table. The second bedroom is equipped with a bunk-bed and single bed, so it's well set up for a family of 5.
The grounds outside are very beautiful, but it's a bit of a drive to the town.
My wife and I were there when a major storm was about to hit. There was a Code Orange alert about flooding, very heavy rain and very high winds. We decided to leave after the first day of 4 booked days. We tried to get the management/owner to give us some kind of a refund, because of the weather circumstances, but he wouldn't budge, stating that if he was able to rent it for the remaining 3 days, which he felt was unlikely, given the weather, and country location, he'd refund us some money.
We wouldn't return to this location but it might well suit some other folks.
