Hey, to whom this may concern, This is the second time myself and my pattern have stayed with this hotel for a couples night and both nights have been absolutely lovely, tonight especially the 18th of October. Myself and my partner sat down for a meal two main courses and we shared a dessert. To say we were full to the brim it to say the least. The service was absolutely fabulous. We were always checked up on to see if we were ok and happy which stood out for me. The food was absolutely outstanding. My partner polished off his plate but i dont have a big appetite so we took the rest away to our room for seconds later on. The potion size is crazy huge and the value for money speaks for itself. Other than that.. im SHOCKED at The night staff. They have been exceptional in my honest opinion. They both looked after us amazingly whenever we needed it and even surprised us with their unreal accessibility. Padraig on reception was so helpful honestly hats off to him and he deserves this recognition He acknowledged everything we could of asked for and even better. His customer service is incredible and we are both very grateful to have the privilege to deal with a very genuine person. His college on the night who was the night porter on duty was so kind and friendly and really made myself and my partner feel so at home and so comfortable at any time of the night no matter what we needed. From having years of hotel experience myself i know how hard it is to have patience with people especially at the hour I was ringing them at for whatever we needed and they were absolutely nothing short of phemonal. You have a fantastic team here in all aspects and you should be very proud. We are both very happy customers and we will definitely be back again. Thank you so much again. Anna.

Attended a 100th Anniversary Ball for a football club Saturday 12th October. Be very mindful what band they have booked for you in your package . The band that played was called Celebrity Crush , they were loud, out of tune , speakers kept humming all night . The man doing sound check was up and down all night trying to sort it . The band’s appearance was dreadful, and not groomed . The amount of people that left because they couldn’t take anymore of it . This was a very important occasion for the club and to be given this band was not acceptable.

Went to stay in the Rochestown Park Hotel in October for a baby moon with my husband and daughter. On arrival it was lovely and refreshing. We checked into the room and it was lovely until my daughter went to the toilet and started shouting 'mammy don't look at me'. The bathroom door is partially cover with frosted glass. There is little lines in the whole of the glass so people can see through the window. After we got over that and stop laughed we decided to go to the pool. My daughter loves swimming and was so excited The pool is ok but we found there was a stale smell and the water was very murky. My daughter wanted to leave after 30mins and this is very unlike her. We went to the Sutton Bar and Bistro for dinner and I could fault the bar or the server. We had a young man and he was so nice friendly and helpful. We ordered our food and unfortunately it came out partially warm and parts even cold. It was also a bit overpriced for the meals we got. However my daughter absolutely loved her pasta and brownie. We did all have a lovely sleep and the breakfast was lovely we couldn't fault it. Overall our stay was lovely and we had a lovely time but there is some areas the hotel could do we looking at and possibly upgrading.

I Attended a family wedding, and I could not praise enough this hotel for the experience we enjoyed. A great day, with excellent food and ambience. I am Celiac and was worried about what I could enjoy from the menu, but the staff offered me a gluten free version of every dish on the menu for the day , which enabled me to be part of the whole celebration. I advise anyone who is Celiac and can only eat gluten free meals, not to be worried if they have to attend an event at Rochestown Park Hotel Cork.

4 star in name only. Staff were excellent but hotel is undergoing construction and a number of lifts were not operating so had to haul luggage up stairs to 4th floor. No signage to show directions. Stairwells were dirty.. Breakfast was average. Won't be in a rush back.. Maybe will improve once work is complete

The staff are lovely. The room was comfortable and the bed was comfy. My only real complaint was the food. I am on this site for years but I never post a review. But I felt compelled tonight given how absolutely awful the food that was served to me tonight was. I arrived late to the hotel and I was recommended to book a table as the bar as it was getting busy, which I did cause as I was tired and didn’t want to go out for food. In hindsight a very bad decision. I travel a lot for work and wasn’t keen on ordering another fish, steak or burger. I’ve been away from home for a few days now. I fancied something different. So I ordered the carbonara off the menu. I am sorry to say It was the very worst pasta bake (whatever it was it wasn’t a carbonara) I have ever had in my life . 1st off l it was made with over cooked penne pasta and it was completely tasteless. The dish was served with some melted bland cheap tasteless mass produced mozzarella on top (the kind you buy for one euro in a supermarket) it was just basically tasteless fat cause it wasn’t real cheese. The garlic bread served with the dish was a cheap frozen store bought one and again it was completely tasteless too. I should have read the menu more carefully as my “so called carbonara” was made with chicken and mushroom (so clearly not a carbonara at all) what’s even worse was the chicken was some mass produced bought in diced injected with water crap. Suffice to say I didn’t eat any of it. Whoever is working the kitchen and made that food and came up with that recipe, should hang their heads in shame. All I can say is I’m embarrassed for you. You have zero pride or love the food you produce. I would strongly suggest a new career. Cause you can’t cook to save your life. The only highlights of my time in the bar was the very pleasant staff and Guinness which was A1.

I was all excited to stay in a 4 star hotel for my business trip for 2 nights. I checked in after 8pm, after travelling over 2 hours to stay.1st night was good only bedroom was extremely warm. I ate in the Bistro that night and food was lovely. Went to work all day next day and walked into the Bistro to see if they would take me without reservation, which they kindly did. Food was once again fablous. Upon doing so my server Gorben (I think his name is) embarrassed me in front of 2 of his work colleagues and a customer. Saying I had an open tab from previous night , and stared in silence as if I wasn't going to pay. It was a mix up with a card, not my servers fault but I think it could have been done more discreetly. I was mortified, if I was called aside I wouldn't have taken notice. I had a long night ahead and spent it outside ,and only came back in for a drink. I didnt want to stay around. I was travelling solo and knew nobody. This server also had other tables around me and not once asked if I needed anything but asked everyone else. Our company owns a franchise of stores, and like myself I don't think our managers will be staying here. The customer service needs improvement
