Victoria Mills Apartments - Ucc Summer Beds

It was awesome to find out that we reserved an apartment ant that everyone gets their own bedroom with toilet/shower. We all got rest and have own privacy and plenty of room to roam. The location is nearby to bus stop and there's grocery store next door. One of the best place we ever stayed. It was a treat and people are really nice.

I should preface this review by noting that the staff were all friendly and helpful--no complaints there. The property, however, is just awful. Spartan, run-down, and gloomy. The threadbare mattress and single wafer-thin pillow on each bed made it virtually impossible to sleep, especially in a room right over a busy, noisy road. Furniture in the common room was worn and uncomfortable. Shower heads essentially spit hard water at you, and ceilings in the shower were moldy. Reception closes at 7:30, after which there's a warden on the property who can let you in if you've locked yourself out (easy to do with their confusing key-fob system), but can't help you with anything else. I pity the poor students who stayed here during the academic year--I definitely won't be staying again!

We stayed here around the Cork Ironman as a last resort due to everything else being booked up. I'm very happy we stayed here. We booked directly with them as it was cheaper and the value for money is so good!! Being student accommodation, I was apprehensive, but the apartment was very clean and well equipped. It was a good location too, can easily walk into the center or get the bus for a couple of euros. Would definitely recommend and stay again if we ended up in Cork again.

Hotel rates charged for student accommodation. We stayed for one week and were so disappointed by the lack of information from the University re - poor wifi, no soap in bathroom, poorly equipped kitchen, noise from street below, uncomfortable beds. We did enjoy the walk by the river into town, the outside bar at the Kingsley Hotel overlooking the river across the road and the very cheerful staff at Centra. Only stay if you want to revisit your student experience!
