Congjiang Impression Gaozeng Homestay

Good experience. It's my first time living in this kind of house. I was a little scared at first, but I got used to it. It's worth living.

The architecture of Dong culture is the most poetic place to live in Guizhou. Although it does not have the regularity of a brand chain hotel, it has the ancient charm of flying eaves. The fragrance of time flows between the window lattices, which touches the heart of travelers more than the standardized white sheets. The books on the bedside tell the past of the owner who worked in big cities, and I came from Beijing. The reflection of the urban forest floats in the ink fragrance, but at a certain morning and evening, it turns around and re-binds life into a landscape album. Only the wind chimes under the corridor are shaking in vain, leaving the regret of not being able to chat with the owner around the fire at night.

I wanted to go out on National Day but didn't want to go to crowded attractions. I saw this homestay in the push. After learning about it, I took the children to stay here for a few days along a rather tortuous route. The room was unique and the twin room was very cost-effective. The only thing was that the bathroom drain was a bit blocked and the bathroom supplies were replenished a little carelessly. But looking at the staff configuration, it seemed that there was only the owner plus a big sister and the most handsome dog in the village, Da Huang, which was not a problem and had little impact. The stream around the homestay is gurgling and the scenery is beautiful. There are often visits from butterflies, dragonflies, wasps and the like in the room. In the morning, there are flocks of sheep passing by the window, which can give TV kids some natural lessons. We challenged the genus folded ears and the sour soup rice flower fish without splitting or scraping the scales in the homestay hotel, drank rice wine, hiked to Gaozeng Village on the second day to eat noodles, and hiked 5 kilometers from Chaoli Village back to the homestay on the third day. It was tiring and refreshing. From now on, the names of these villages will always be remembered, after all, we walked step by step. I still have many feelings that I will slowly savor in the future and I wish “the people living in areas blocked by mountains and covered by forests” that Gaozeng Village will become better and better.

Facilities: Not very well-equipped, perhaps due to being in the mountains. Cleanliness: Acceptable. Environment: Nice, nestled in a mountain valley, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, with picturesque scenery. Service: No front desk, no phone number to contact in advance, and I had to call the owner through Ctrip to check in. Yao herbal foot bath: Not provided. One pot of Chaoli Ancient Well spring water: Not provided.

Very primitive homestay, the surrounding environment is very good and quiet. I fell asleep listening to the sound of the stream at night, and the sleep quality was particularly good. The room was large, the roof was high, and it was very comfortable. Although it was by the water, it was not damp at all. The day we checked in was a festival in the village, and the owner warmly invited us to have dinner together. There were many famous Dong dishes, and there was also Dong pipa singing to cheer us up. It was a very special and surprising journey. The only drawback is the inconvenient transportation. Public transportation is not recommended.
