Due to a medical emergency with our son, our holiday from the end of day 1 drastically changed.(To let you know he is ok and safely at home). All of the staff at the entire resort we cannot fault. The staff really rose to the challenge and provided exceptional care and support during a difficult time. Their professionalism and compassion made a huge difference in helping us as a family cope with the traumatic situation. I wish I could thank you all personally for the various little pieces of help you provided , (you know who you are). The resort and beach club is really nice btw, apartment 2118 was great full a/c, spacious can’t fault. You Can text wassap to alert reception of any issues, easy quick response. Resort is away from the huddle bustle and riff raff, so if you want a chill holiday at the pool this is the place. Beach club Mon-Fri free sunbeds,€20 each sat/sun/bank holidays. Book day before to reserve if you really want to go. Pebble beach on doorstep, (large pebbles). Spar shop on site everything stocked you need. There is no oven in apartment. Electric hob microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, toaster provided. We ate out at restaurant next to pool and at pool, restaurant is more for couples, check what time pool food stops for kids etc. 10 min walk into small town also has restaurants, unfortunately we only ate out once due to issues and that was nice , the pasta place by the sea. Thank you once again for being decent people during a tough time for our family, we really appreciate what you did for us.

As another recent reviewer remarked, this place has been phenomenally mid-sold by Jet2. The accommodation we stayed in was a 2 bed villa with private plunge pool. To be fair, it was modern, relatively clean to start with but the maids certainly weren’t meticulous about their work during our stay! The staff at the complex were generally friendly, though there were a couple of beach club staff who were unreasonably snotty. The biggest problem was the location. To one side of the complex was the monstrous eye sore of a cement factory, that absolutely does “hum” constantly. It’s awful, it’s ugly and beggars belief as to why you would build an alleged “luxury complex” right next to it? The hotel’s roof top pool was very pokey in comparison to the beach club…we were amused by the fact that the roof top sunbeds were all orientated towards the cement factory! Why would anyone want to relax on holiday overlooking that! On the other side of the complex, there is the town of Arguineguín. Not so much “fishing village”…think more industrial, working port. To get to there on foot, required a 10 minute walk through a homeless/migrant camp that had no running water or sanitation, absolutely stinking. On arrival in the town, it didn’t really get much better. It was ugly, grotty with only a handful of average at best restaurants. This is NOT a tourist destination. With the extortionate cost of the sunbeds at the beach club at the weekends, we decided to take a taxi to Anfi beach, but it’s wise to note that at weekends, the locals flock to the beach with their extended multigenerational families…there was literally nowhere to sit on the beach, you could barely see the sand for people…the sea was like “people-soup!” For those currently on a bikini diet pre-holiday, you might appreciate this analogy …imagine a large piece of chocolate cake that you start to eat, but rapidly you realise it’s just not worth the calories! In fact, the thought of spending even more money on canned squirty cream (day trips/boat trips/driving around the island) was never gunna make it taste any better!! Be warned! I appreciate the disparity of reviews will be confusing here. However, I would recommend you do your research elsewhere on the internet before choosing this resort. There are plenty of articles giving a current picture of Gran Canaria’s social and housing issues in this area. If you’ve not booked, then I would recommend going elsewhere like Puerto Mogán.

2 adults and 2 teenagers spent 12 nights here, I don't normally do holiday reviews but I was extremely disappointed in this holiday. Negatives I agree with a recent review regarding room security, we too had to place a stool at the inside door to prevent cleaners, maintenance just entering our apartment early in the morning. We were in the room positioned straight across from the lift shaft, we arrived circa 10pm and headed to our room to find rows of cleaning trolleys outside our seating area along with a concrete lift shaft facing our outside seating area. Straight away it was a bad first impression. Who wants to sit and look at a large grey concrete block while outside their room on holiday! Three times in our first week we had to call maintenance due to the shower upstairs overflowing everywhere and flooding the bathroom and hall way. There was not enough shelving in the upstairs bedroom wardrobe, we had one shelf for two adults clothing, everything was just piled on top of each other, we would have been just as well leaving everything in our suitcases! The upstairs bathroom could have been doing with some door or wall hooks and additional shelving or a drawer for toiletries. 2 days before we were due to leave our room keys would not allow us into our room and we had to keep going down to reception where the lady was extremely rude, over two days I had to go to reception to get my room key activated 6 times!! Not one of the reception staff apologised for this inconvenience. Positives The beach club was lovely but very pricy, however I did get a large piece of plastic in my coffee one day and on another visit a dirty glass covered in someones lip gloss with my sangria but both were changed and the staff apologised. The spar was excellent and good value for money and the staff were all really lovely and friendly even though they spoke very little English. A taxi to Puerto Rico is only 15euros which was reasonable. Andrea who worked on reception was lovely and very helpful. Would I return, absolutely not, we spent a lot of money on a 4star plus holiday to be really let down by various issues, the main issue for me was the room lift shaft, who ever though positioning a room in direct view of this needs to be taught more about the customer experience as this was a real let down. If i had paid for a few nights I could have maybe let it slide but 12 nights and days with this unsightly view was extremely disappointing.

The apartments are well equipped. Instructions to the oven/mircowave would of benefitted us and all guests. The showers had mould which was a little off putting. This aside we had a great holiday, the beach club was a lovely chill out zone. You have to get their early to get your bed but you can leave for lunch if you so wish. The complex infinite pool was also lovely, pool was cold though. Arguineguín isn’t the prettiest town. There was festivals when we was there and it was great to see all locals dressed in their national dress and enjoying the parades and celebrations. We found some lovely restaurants and the beach looked nice too. All in all if you are looking for a nice relaxing week you have everything you need (Spar has all essentials and a loved ice cream bar too ) you aren’t getting a Mogán but the grounds of the complex are well maintained and pretty.

Jet2 sold us this resort described on their website as paradise and the photos made it look amazing. If the app allows me I’ll upload photos of the reality. It’s sits in the shadows of a giant cement factory. It’s open plan so the public just use it as a cut through so doesn’t feel secure. Most of Jet2’s photos are of an adjoining business that has the pool and you have pay for it at weekends. It also doesn’t open until 11am. The onsite pool roof isn’t like the photos on website and doesn’t open until 10am. The nearby town is rundown and not much to do. We came home the next day from what should have been a 7 day holiday. Looking at the reviews some people seem to like it but please check Google earth maps before you book. This isn’t the hotels fault at all, this is Jet2 blatantly miss selling. The rep had no argument and no solutions other than hire a car and spend our days elsewhere. Bad Jet2.

I’m going to have to go against the grain here and say this was not a great choice, especially with the premium price tag they expect you to pay. My family and I just returned from what was meant to be a relaxing stay at this resort, and I feel compelled to warn others. The marketing is incredibly deceptive, and our experience was marred by serious safety concerns, a lack of basic amenities, and a general feeling of being ripped off. Safety & Privacy - A Complete Disregard for Guests: The most alarming issue was the complete lack of security and privacy in the apartment. * No Internal Locks: You cannot lock your room from the inside. The main door can be opened at any time with a keycard. We were woken up daily by cleaning staff shouting “hola” and walking straight in because no "Do Not Disturb" signs are provided. We could have been asleep, getting changed, or anything. We felt so unsafe that we resorted to barricading the door with a stool every night. * Unlocked Backdoor: The second bedroom had a backdoor that, even when "locked" from the inside, could still be opened from the outside. This posed a huge security risk, and we couldn't possibly let our child sleep in that room. Our child had to sleep in the master room for the entire stay, and we stayed in the second room with door. The Apartment - Unfit for Self-Catering & Filthy The apartment itself was poorly equipped and frankly, dirty. * Kitchen Failings: There is no oven, which is bizarre given the on-site Spar shop sells oven-cook pizzas, chips, and other frozen goods. The only plug sockets in the kitchen area are located directly beside the sink. Trying to use the kettle and toaster in a tiny, wet space felt genuinely dangerous. There is no other suitable indoor table for eating or playing games, just a high, uncomfortable kitchen island that's cluttered with your food prep items. * Shocking Lack of Cleanliness: The cleaning service is a joke. They make the beds, but that's it. * They do not sweep or mop the floors. We found a dead silverfish on the floor on day one, and it was still there when we left. * They do not wipe any surfaces, inside or out. The table mats and utensils had food residue from the previous guests. * The sofa bed was covered in what were clearly old pee stains. * We had to specifically ask them to replenish toilet rolls. * The shower had visible pink limescale and mould, likely because there's no extractor fan. The bathrooms are in a shared corridor connected by partition doors, and the shared shower cubicle had a persistent foul smell. * Poor Furnishings: There is virtually no storage space in the bedrooms; no cupboards and the tiny rail is useless for two people, so forget about unpacking. Our room was meant to have a double bed but instead had two separate singles pushed together. There was only one small sofa in the living area, which is inadequate for a family apartment. You also have to request an iron and ironing board if you
