Definitely do not recommend this place at all !! Worst holiday I have had in a while. The place is falling apart had cockroaches and damp and mould in my room whilst heavily pregnant. Tried to speak to management and was moved 3 times to a different room and then when issue still wasn’t resolved I requested a refund and the manager screamed in my face and refused. The food is leftovers mixed with fresh in the afternoon bread is stale and not a lot of options/repetitive unhelpful staff and serious health risks and concerns claims there a 4 star establishment more like a 1 star at best !! Would not recommend for families with children or people who struggle to walk due to the lifts breaking a few times and had to walk up multiple steps. Location is ok but nothing much going on taxis or local busses to get anywhere and not much nightlife or activities going on inside the hotel at night. Save your time and money and choose another hotel to avoid being disappointed pictures are nothing like the hotel.worst holiday ever

An average all inclusive hotel - more of a 3* hotel than 4* as advertised. Buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner was good and varied. Fussy eaters would only have bread, chips, pasta and pizza though. More adventurous eaters would enjoy some local dishes, fresh salads and a variety of options from meat to vegetables. Soft and alcoholic drinks were average, a machine was used for cocktails and weren’t that pleasant to drink. We were pleasantly surprised to find that all rooms have a living area with kitchen facilities, the use of a fridge in the room was good. Rooms have thin walls but generally accommodation is quiet 11pm-6am. Rooms are not serviced on Sundays or Mondays. In terms of hotel facilities, there is a lot on offer but is quite spread out across various levels with lots of stairs and hills. If you needed an accessible hotel, this would not be the place to go. Also, pushchairs were often carried up and down stairs so bringing young children old be an inconvenience. There are lifts but they weren’t always working or you had to wait a while. There is a main pool with a small paddling pool on the top floor with a bar area and snack room. On the middle floor, there is a rectangular pool with a bar area. Then on the ground floor there is a beach bar which is open in the evenings. Generally the hotel lacks atmosphere but music was played by the pool for a few hours during the day and evening entertainment was hit and miss. Although we didn’t travel with children, there was a kids play area and some activities throughout the day to keep the children entertained. The hotel is a 10 minute costal walk from Anfi which has a selection of restaurants, including a very good Indian, and a beautiful beach. Anfi is very clean and pleasant place to be. In addition, Puerto Rico is a 5 minute bus ride costing 2€ (approx.) from just outside the hotel. The hotel offers towel hire from reception with a 15€ deposit. There are coffee machines and water fountains around the hotel, so do bring a water bottle to refill. The hotel has a shop under Reception for any additional snacks. Generally staff were friendly and accommodating but it did feel as if the hotel was understaffed. This included at the pool bars during the day, beach bar at night and cleaners for the toilets around the hotel - there was regularly a lack of toilet roll and soap. Despite some issues, we enjoyed our stay for the price of our holiday. I would recommend to couples or groups of friends.

Marina Elite Gran Canaria We travelled as a family of 4, with two boys aged 10 and 11 to Marina Elite, Arguineguin, Gran Canaria, between the 17th and 29th July 2025. This was an uncomplicated all inclusive option. We didn’t really have that high of an expectation, it just came out well within our budget with a free child place through Jet2 and seemed to tick most of the boxes for our needs. The glossy pictures showed us that it had two swimming pools, a kids area, football court, table tennis, pool table, gym, a restaurant, bar and air conditioning. We arrived very tired at around midnight where it seemed like we had to solve a treasure map in order to find our room, and I was thinking “oh no, what have I done” And although the receptionist was marking it with a pen on the small map he was providing us, he was difficult to understand and it wasn’t going in at that time of the night. To make it a bit simpler, the hotel is split into three main parts and your room will be one of those areas. The main block is where the reception, the main restaurant and the Beach Bar are situated. (The far corner of this by the Beach Bar is where they are currently installing a lift) Then there is the middle area where the delfin pool is. This is across the road, but can be accessed via the main block, up a couple of levels and then across a bridge. Then there is a top level which is across another road to where the Marina Pool is. Most people would’ve probably known this, but not me and it was a bit of a mission after the long flight we had and with 4x 22kg cases. But once we went up a few flights of stairs in one elevator, crossed a bridge leading to another elevator and then across a road leading to another elevator, it was fairly straight forward. (I know it doesn’t sound easy and was a common topic of those who enjoy a good moan, but it really wasn’t that bad once you got the hang of it.) The road had very little traffic, it was a private gated road for deliveries and car parking. You could walk along the pathway of this road, if you were fit enough to do it. It’s the most simple way and you get a lovely view of the sea and surrounding coast line. We had a room on the top level, by the “The Marina Pool and Restaurant” Our room was clean and fairly spacious with a tiled floor throughout, it had a bathroom with a walk in shower, a separate bedroom area and an open plan kitchen/diner/ sofa bed with fold out trundle and a very good sized balcony, with a pleasant but limited sea view. The air conditioning was ice cold and could be regulated (bonus) And overall we were really satisfied with the room. (Although some people were moaning that they weren’t cleaned regularly enough) But if you’re like us, then you wont want to be disturbed in the morning and are happy enough to make your own beds and clean up your own mess. The Marina Pool and Bar is what I would call the family area. Baby pool, family pool, kids play area, snack bar. The pool is about 140 cm d

Not as expected, can't even give a 3 stars have been to 3 stars hotels way better than this, bar staff on Delfin pool bar looks like hating their jobs, servicing customers with the attitude on the face, toilet filfy. Reusable plastic cups which not washed properly just rinsed in the bar sink and served to other customers, often no cutlery in the restaurant, have to wait for cups, forks etc. entertainment is a joke, Flamenco at the best. Lifts bearly couping with the amount of people have to wait for long time to get on, some don't work at all, food is very limited and repetitive, the only thing ok is a themed nights which you have to pre-book at reception. Lots of stairs so if you are with small children or elderly be careful. Rooms cleaned rarely. Looks like not enough staff across the board. For the price you can get a lower star rating hotel and get way better experience. Unless you're getting it very cheap and i mean very cheap than go but otherwise look somewhere else. And Jet2holidays should be ashamed to offer this hotel to their customers as 4 starts. Currently sitting by the swimming pool and writing this. Hope it helps.

On arrival reception staff were rude and didn’t answer our questions The room didn’t seem too bad at first but we found the fridge didn’t work properly and there was a puddle of water on the floor each morning We came home one night to find a cockroach running across the floor The bedding and towels weren’t changed all week The room was tidied but didn’t look as if it had been cleaned We couldn’t book into the speciality restaurant as it was fully booked all week The main restaurant was often late opening and the food was mostly cold with little variation with flies constantly buzzing around The staff in all areas were generally rude with the bar areas left unattended The cocktails and wine and fizzy drinks were out of machines and we’re disgusting It’s advertised as a beach front hotel but there is no beach However Anfi beach Is around a 25 minute walk away but a taxi there Is around. 4 euros We went there 4 times and it’s beautiful. The food and drinks were really good. The only time we ate and drank anything decent The pool areas aren’t great and are on different levels of the hotel with lots of steps and lifts involved Not a hotel for the less able There’s one toilet around the Olympic pool that never had any soap and hadn’t been checked since 8 th July The entertainment Is poor and only happens 3 times a week The only great thing is the guy who does a daily activity around the pool He didn’t hesitate to jump in fully clothed and rescue a child with special needs that needed help in the pool This hotel should be a budget 2/3 star not the 4 star we were expecting Do not stay here

Upon arrival we thought lovely. We were only here for a week. 3 days we were left with no towels. 2 days we were greeted by cockroaches scuttling around our room one of which was 1.5 inches. There was building works next our balcony and I got hit by a piece of falling concrete so we couldn't sit and relax on the balco y as ee would get showered with falling debry. The balcony was filthy and was not cleaned at all while we were there. On our 3rd day there was a massive crane outside our balcony. The bearing in mind my 5 year old granddaughter was with us, we had to check out of our rooms by 11am and wasn't being picked up until 6pm so we couldn't have any food or drink unless we paid for it at 25 Euros per person. And if we wanted a late check out it was 35 Euros per person. Bearing in mind we booked for 7 days, arrived at 11.30pm on Saturday night so by my way of thinking we should not have to check out or at least relinquish our food and drinks rights until we're picked up. I would definitely come back to the island but definitely not the hotel. The entertainment was pathetic if indeed existent. Most of the staff were lovely even though our bed linen wasn't changed at all throughout our weeks stay. But I didn't appreciate the man behind reception telling me it was all my fault for booking a late flight!!!!

We booked Marina Elite as a last-minute option when very little else was available. As a family who typically stays in 5-star accommodation, this fell well below our usual expectations—and even with a flexible mindset, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. The Positives: The location is fantastic—peaceful, not overlooked by other hotels, and just a 10-minute walk to the beautiful Anfi Beach. The beach itself has soft white sand, clear turquoise water, and a lovely selection of classy shops and restaurants, without the usual tourist clutter. Our room was spacious, and in a good location within the resort. That said, it’s definitely in need of a refresh. The Negatives: The shower had mould, the bedside tables were badly marked and damaged and the air conditioning unit beneath the balcony drying rack was filthy—so much so that we couldn’t hang clothes without them touching the grime. The noise from the room above was relentless—chairs scraping, loud thuds, and what sounded like children jumping off furniture well into the evening. Either the walls are paper thin, or we were just very unlucky with our neighbours. Food was another major letdown. Breakfast was the best meal of the day, but lunch often felt like reheated leftovers. Dishes were rarely replenished on time, leading to long waits and empty trays. The restaurant never opened on time, which caused an unnecessary evening rush. The snack bar by the pool was unclean, and I ended up wiping down tables myself with cleaning wipes I brought from home. That said, I want to acknowledge the hardworking main restaurant staff, who were kind, attentive, and doing their best despite long hours and limited support. Despite a 4-star sign at the front, the hotel is more aligned with a low 3-star experience at best. A serious concern was the incident in the pool where an unsupervised child with additional needs had a poo accident and their parents failed to report it, they simply removed him while Other children were swimming in contaminated runny poo water until I (along with another parent) raised the alarm. Thankfully, the lifeguard reacted quickly and closed both pools for proper cleaning—but the lack of basic courtesy from some guests was shocking. At times, the atmosphere felt more like a rowdy holiday camp than a relaxing resort, with children left to run wild by inattentive parents. Service-wise, the bar was understaffed and the team often seemed overwhelmed and unfriendly. With more staff, the hotel could be significantly cleaner and better managed. The plastic cups were often very dirty, I tended to keep my cup and wash it myself and take it back up for a refill Final Thoughts: This was a one-time compromise and not one we’d ever repeat. As a family used to high standards and respectful environments, we felt uncomfortable and out of place throughout most of the stay. If you’re accustomed to well-managed, quality accommodation, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere—even if it mean
