Hotel Riu Papayas - All Inclusive

We are a family of 3, our son is 7. We have just returned from 10 nights! Here is my review. Reception: friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. They helped me book a surprise for our wedding anniversary and were so eager to make it special. Checking in and out was a breeze! We were also offered an upgrade to a family room for which we were very grateful. Rooms: Our room was very spacious, clean and equipped with everything you needed. Unfortunately, we both found the bed to be uncomfortable, as we both suffer with bad backs, it was just too hard, so this did not make for a restful sleep as needed. The housekeeping staff, are fab, friendly, helpful and respectful. Food: The buffet was great, with a wide choice and lots of fresh salads and fish. The pancakes and the vast amount of Nutella available were a breakfast for our soon. We ate in both of the bookable restaurants and we found the Asian one to lack finesse, it would have been nice to have been served, to make it that bit more special, and maybe offer a different variety of drinks....The food in Ole was fabulous and the desserts very tasty! Drinks: The cocktails were disappointing as they were pre made and tasted very similar to a very sugary juice.... the beers were good, be nice to have a few more on offer. I did like the ability to help yourself, which meant the queues were non existent. Entertainment: We really enjoyed the entertainment and the staff. They work so hard and are always smiling and inviting. I hope the hotel appreciates them! Overall we had a lovely holiday and would definitely visit Gran Canaria again, unfortunately maybe not this hotel, but simply this was due to the bed comfort!

Lovely hotel but concerning who they are letting stay. On Sunday a little girl was grabbed by a french man who was then allowed to stay in the hotel and then on Monday tried to grab a little girl in the toilets. The group in question would sit there watching the kids mini disco taking photos of the children. Whilst two were removed from the hotel, there are still 4 here now!!

We had a lovely time- the 2 bedroom family room was great. Our 2 children could split their bed into twin beds and that was a game changer! The aircon was fantastic and beds super comfy. The food was great and the pool always so warm. The pool was busy at times but we always got a sunbed and the staff were really friendly. The evening entertainment could be better but overall the holiday was great. Thank you.
