Large room with 2 beds pushed together. Tea and coffee (not replenished) large mugs. Small fridge. Plenty of hangers in wardrobe. Free safe. Long mirror on wall but no plug nearby. Large bathroom with good shower, towels are on the small side. Shower gel supplied. Hairdryer in bathroom. Balcony with table, chairs and washing airer. Lots of choices of food at all meal times, always being replenished. Soft drinks, beer and wine on tap to help yourself. After midnight there is a self service snack bar, the sandwiches are not very good, they are pre packed and the bread is quite stale. Pool area is lovely, plenty of beds (which get saved early) there’s no need but people do it anyway. Small gym with a couple of treadmills and a couple of weight machines but no free weights. Large bar areas but outside so on a chilly night you will need a jacket. All staff at the hotel work extremely hard and are very friendly. Hotel is in a good spot for a few restaurants and bars. Beach is a 15 minute walk.

Staying at the Papaya Hotel was a lovely experience. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The hotel and grounds were maintained to a very high standard. Activities throughout the day and evening v good for all ages. Excellent hotel catering for people with disabilities. 10 mins walk to the beach/promenade/cafes/restaurant/shops/pharmacy

A complete pleasure from check in to check out. The food was excellent and the choice plentiful, the pool area well though out with plenty for all travellers. We both enjoyed the sun terrace above the bar but there was something for all. The rooms were finished to a high standard and spotlessly clean and serviced with great care. Our room didn't have much of a view but was quiet and comfortable with a king size bed. The hotel is also very central and within easy reach of all PDI has to offer.

Had a great stay at the Riu Papayas. Our fourth time staying there. All the staff are amazing. Can't do enough for you. The food was great in the main restaurant. Good drinks from the Dunas bar. I recommend the Asian restaurant which we visited twice. I need more practise with the chopsticks. Lol. Going to book this hotel again either Summer or Christmas time.

Excellent from start to finish. Although I specifically asked not to be located near the building work next door .. I was offered an exchange in 2 days time. It was not required as the noise level didn’t affect us, and I couldn’t be bothered to repack. The staff are brilliant from the Housekeepers to the Management. The buffet restaurant has a wonderful selection and the Ole & Zhu restaurant are just perfect. The hotel & staff met my expectations and did not disappoint for my first visit to Gran Canaria. I am already planning to come back.

Lovely hotel, cannot fault any part of our stay. Great food choices especially the Christmas Day Gala Dinner- the steak was out of this world! Delicious wine to accompany it. Great selection of drinks- including Prosecco and bottled water which is included in your stay. Really friendly staff, hard working cleaners- our room was made up daily and facilities around the pool and restaurant were also immaculate. The entertainment was varied, some good, some not so good but this did not impact on our stay. Would highly recommend this hotel if staying at Playa Del Inglés.
