We loved this place. Accessible by boat through canals, flanked on one side by the river and the Caribbean on the other, surrounded by forest and the most amazing wildlife, we highly recommend. Attentive and helpful staff, delicious meals with great selection, fun excursions, we loved the two pools and the outdoor bar space on the river. Seeing turtles laying eggs at night on the beach with a guide was so special! The breakfast lunch and dinner buffets were yummy with lots of choices.

Sehr schöne Lage, toller Garten, schöner wilder Strand, tolle Sonnenaufgänge, Restaurant mit Buffet und den ganzen Tag Kaffee/Wasser zur freien Verfügung. Einziges Manko sind die Zimmer, die recht zweckmässig und dunkel sind und durch die offenen Fenster wenig privacy bieten. Die Touren waren toll. Bootsführer und unser Guide, Abel Vargas, schienen über jedes Tier so begeistert wie wir. Überhaupt war unser Guide Abel wirklich toll, der uns schon die Fahrt von San José mit vielen spannenden Infos versüsste und und während der knapp 3 Tage mit viel Witz und Kompetenz über alles auf dem laufenden hielt. Danke dafür, lieber Abel! Unbedingt die morning awakening Tour buchen. War eins der Highlights neben den Baby Schildkröten, die wir zufällig am Strand gesehen haben und dem Faultier, das ins Restaurant kam. Nicht mehr machen würde ich die Turtle Tour. Ewig spät, ca 40 Leute, eine Schildkröte, die keine Chance hat uns zu entkommen, während sie Eier legt. Alle haben sich Mühe gegeben, waren leise, dunkel gekleidet usw, aber mir hat das Tier leid getan. Ich würde wieder in die Laguna Lodge fahren.

An incredible place only accessible by river boat, with the lagoon on one side and the Caribbean on the other. The hotel was idyllic, with trees, wildlife and nesting turtles on the beach. The pool was warm, the garden well kept, and the food was good. Our room was a bit spartan, but we didn't spend much time there so it didn't matter. A great place to set off on a river and canal safari.

El lugar es muy bonito. Las habitaciones amplias y buen baño, pero no hay A/A y es muy necesario. Un ventilador (muy pequeño) no arregla el calor nocturno…..La atención buena, el restaurante es muy normal y muy muy caluroso (incomprensible q no tenga grandes ventiladores para todas las mesas. Poca variedad de alimentos. Imprescindible el avistamiento de Tortugas y su puesta de huevos. El personal muy amable.

A truly magical place. We stayed in a standard+ lodge which was simple but more than suited our needs. We backed onto the forest so the noise from the frogs, birds and monkeys was incredible. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Lovely pool. Highly recommend a guided night walk to see the stunning turtles. Some areas of the lodge were a bit run down and needed a little update but overall, a wonderful experience.

La estancia en el Hotel es una experiencia maravillosa. Las habitaciones son correctas, no hay aire acondicionado pero sí un ventilador. Está en mitad de la selva, entre la laguna y el mar caribe. Las instalaciones son muy espaciosas, el restaurante, las piscinas, la recepción, los jardines etc. Por la noche se escuchan los sonidos de la selva en estado puro....pero sin duda lo mejor del Hotel es el guía Abel. Desde el primer momento te transmite la pasión por la flora, la fauna y el respeto a la naturaleza y el amor a su país que es precioso. Aprendimos cosas con él que no olvidaremos nunca y que quedan en nuestro recuerdo. Un 10 para Abel y siempre PURA VIDA!!!!!!

L hôtel et la propriété sont très bien placés. L endroit est magnifique avec la plage pasadisiaque des carabaique. On ne peut toutefois pas s’y baigner. Le personnel est très aimable. Par contre, si l environnement est magnifique, les chambres ne sont pas à la hauteur. Elles sont spartiates, peu d éclairage et on a vraiment pas envie d y rester ! On entend les voisins, il n y a pas de fenêtre, le ventilateur est bruyant et on a peur que des insectes en tous genres rentrent. La propreté est vraiement à revoir… une salle de bain petite et pas propres avec une colonie de cafards. Tous les vêtements sentent l humidité pour le reste du séjour… enfin la sortie extrême ment chère de ponte des tortues est Disneyland! Ça ne vaut pas le coup et fait perdre tout l authenticité d un tel moment. On alterne par groupe ( et il y a au mins 10 groupes) aux différentes étapes de la ponte d une tortue !

Tortuguero es un lugar especial, totalmente recomendado y espectacular. El hotel está perfectamente localizado entre la laguna y la playa y las excursiones y sus guías son perfectos, destacar a Ruben, que es especial por cómo conoce el entorno y la selva. Ahora bien…las habitaciones aunque sea un eco Lodge carecen de ventanas, aire acondicionado y espacio …y la comida muy muy regular y el restaurante es más de albergue, con mesas compartidas y comida muy limitada….
