Enjoyable enough eco lodge experience for tourists to the area who want to see the wonderful wildlife. It’s a popular venue and does well to manage the tourists coming and going, often just for a few nights. Nice looking area with nice restaurant area, bars, swimming pools and lots of paths to walk around to get you to your accommodation or to the beach. The lodge rooms are not surprisingly quite basic and the walls are paper thin so does need everyone to be respectful. But they are clean and tidy and the beds are comfortable. Shower is a bit hot at times while some of our group said they only got cold water. Still the whole site and the nearby canal is a stunning setting. The beach and crashing waves were not the usual beach to visit but nice all the same. You can also walk to the town, which takes about 30 minutes. Quicker by boat. Lovely wildlife about and fantastic sounds early morning. Enjoyed the dinners but often skipped the lunch. The breakfast was ok but didn’t have all the cold things I like. The bar near the restaurant was popular and when weather is bad probably needs a bigger undercover area. Great staff here. The coffee shop and gift shop is pleasant and do great milk shakes. A great place to see the wildlife from on site and the many boat excursions that run from the hotel. All in all a lovely setting.
