I do really surprised that Mercure Severin Brücke is classified as a 4* hotel. In my opinion it’s a 3*. The room is bare, no coffee Mc, only Hot Water kettle, no body cream & o my one complimentary water bottle. However the Breakfast Choices are reasonable ( the bottom line of a 4* hotel ). The services from the staff are friendly. Location is about 15 - 20 minutes walk to the Shopping Street and the Kölner Dom.

I traveled alone. You can get there in less than 10 minutes by tram from Messe Station or Central Station, and you can also get to Cologne Cathedral in about 20 minutes by walking or by taking the tram! I booked a suite, but I didn't expect it to be so big. The room had its own terrace, comfortable bed and pillows, excellent soundproofing, great breakfast, I liked everything. The location is also good, 15-20 minutes walk to Koln Dom and the embankment/center
