We’re really glad we chose to stay at CityClass Hotel am Dom. Just a little tip for future travelers – there’s another hotel with a similar name nearby under the same group, so double-check you’re at the right one!
Since this was our second-to-last stop, our suitcases were already packed with souvenirs and memories. Carrying them up even just a few steps felt like a mini workout — but nothing we couldn’t manage.
We arrived a bit earlier than the check-in time, and the front desk staff were very welcoming. After checking our details, they kindly stored our luggage so we could head out and enjoy the city without any hassle.
The location is perfect – just a short stroll to Cologne Cathedral, Hohenzollern Bridge, and the charming Altstadt. Everything we wanted to see was within easy walking distance. A great base for exploring Cologne!

Das Hotel ist wirklich sehr zentral am Dom. Man kommt von da aus überall hin. Die Zimmer sehr sauber und das Frühstück war auch sehr lecker. Gerne kommen wir nochmal wieder!

The location is excellent. You can see Cologne Cathedral while lying in bed. It only takes two minutes to walk there. In addition, there are many convenient restaurants nearby, including good Chinese food. Although there is a busy street downstairs, the room is well soundproofed. The breakfast is extremely rich.

The room is a bit small. The first room had a peculiar smell. After negotiation, we changed a room, but the church could not be seen. The location is about 20 minutes' walk from the train station and relatively close to the cathedral, about 5 minutes away. Other things are OK.
