Port of the Islands Everglades Adventure Resort

This place is hidden in the middle of nowhere but it close to all popular places (marco island, Everglades, and downtown Naples), we glade that we found this hotel by accidently. We drove from Miami to Tampa. and just planned to stay for one night was tired, but in the morning we walked around the property it was so beautiful, fresh, quiet, we can see manatee from the resort, we went out the trip to 10000 island, we booked 2 more days stayed there, the staff is so friendly, they have restaurant serving French/Vietnamese/American food imagine. we drove to Marco Island/Everglades, downtown Naples. the price compares from this place to Marco/and downtown Naples are less than half price. We so glad to find this place, we wish we could stay longer but schedule to tight. We definitely come back and stay for a week. We love scooter, kyak, shooting ranch across street, manatee/eco tour. Thanks Jamie/Tom/ and other staff there.

This is not a luxury resort but provides a value for money option. Our studio was clean, large and well equipped. It provided a great base for exploring the Everglades and has ample parking. All staff were friendly. The restaurant (we had dinner once plus breakfast) provide simple meals. Nothing fancy but does the job.

There was only one towel and washcloth for 2 people. Never did receive more although we stopped in office twice. No one was working the desk. Had to park 3 buildings away. I am 75. Did not appreciate this. No breakfast, no restaurant or bar. This place has gone downhill. T V did not work. Bathroom was dirty. I have stayed there 5 times before. Never again.

Nice... for the Price!! Nice... but a lot of mosquitoes! Although front desk was nit available after 5pm, there was great communication with the clerk (phone call) that gave me instructions on how to access the lock.

The property presets itself quite well, but the room left a lot to be desired and, no restaurant, no daily room service, no one at the desk, the room ac and tv had no instructions and were difficult to use, very slow wifi, the "included breakfast" was two brown bags of wrapped cookies and etc., and one day there were two "pancakes-eggs w/cheese and sausage patty" that was delivered the evening before for the next morning's breakfast delivered thawed out, when reading the directions it became obvious that the sandwich was to be micro waved from frozen and by the time we discovered this, in the morning it had been thawed for over a day.....this could be sickening for real. There was no bottled water in the room for coffee, the lamp next to the sitting table was noticably damaged with the bulb holder knocked off its holder and was left unplugged. The coffie maker top was put back together wrong and it took two days for us to understand this, and it would not work properly until we fixed it. We had to ask for two extra towels on our third day there, and the shower head leaks water after being turned completely off. The repair to the doors leading onto the outside walkway which looked like a terrace in the ads, was really just a walkway, but the two doors were visibly repaired and never painted to match after the repair. The front door to the unit would not latch so only the bolt lock held the door closed. My advise, management, stay in this unit one night, you will know.

Second time staying here and I would definitely stay again. Our favorite part of this place was the pool tables in the common room/play room
