1. In July open the windows and turn on the fan they provide in the closet. 2. Bring money to eat. Expensive breakfast. 3. Bar/lounge closes at 11 pm. 4. They must allow homeless to sleep in the hospitality room. For we saw a half a dozen people with sheets and blankets sleeping. 5. No microwave and refrigerator.

The bathroom was filthy. Debris under the counter, dirty countertop, and disgusting buildup of hair etc in the crevices on the floor. Apparently the cleaning staff doesn’t close the bathroom door when they clean or maybe they just don’t care. The b’fast buffet was poorly stocked and overpriced. Pavol snapped at me when I asked for butter, because I was unreasonable to expect the common butter dish shouldn’t have other food included (bits of bread, jam etc). Spoke to the Supv about his nasty attitude, but she just made excuses for him. Nothing much to do at this property other than the super-touristy excursions. If this is the start of your trip - good news, it gets better. If it’s the last stop, bad taste to end on. We had a golf excursion. The golf course (to call it that is a stretch) is poorly maintained and managed. We were told to leave after two holes due to lightening. Offered a partial refund, but still wrangling with Princess/vendor to get it. $300 for 2 holes of golf on a subpar facility is a rip off! Good note - the burger in the bar is great. Donald is the best server!

This was one of the nicer Princess Lodges. The rooms were a nice size, love the location on the river. And the outside is keep well. There are a few short walking paths as well. The downside is the restaurant. It is way over priced and the quality of the food wasn't as good as the other Princess Lodges.

This is probably one of the worst places to stay. If you are on Holland America or Princess cruises they force you to stay. First, the bathrooms have not been cleaned in a long time. They have hair and dirt in the bathroom that is awful. Second, their manager apparently don’t care because we called down and the only response was they would take care of it. We were here for two days and they didn’t. Also, don’t bother to eat in either restaurant. Open table has a 2.9 rating out of 5 which is not good but it is actually worse than that. The meals were all overcooked and the server and manger kept arguing right in front of us. Needless to say the service was super slow. Oh and the bed bugs were out as well on the second night.

We stayed 4 nights and found the room was ok. No fridge, and a small coffee machine with powded milk as the only option. Service at restaurants and bars was terrible. We either waited a long time for either food or drinks or even someone to serve us, and there were plenty of staff standing around. We asked for a glass of wine and the staff member told us we couldn't have one as they would have to open a bottle! Princess really need to pick their game up. Overall we had a nice stay, it was just the service was bad when you have limited options to dine at.

Arrival by bus through Princess cruises was as great as Delani, being handed our welcome packets with keys as we exited the bus, and could go straight to our room. Luggage delivery came a bit later, but when they brought our 2 bags, only one was ours. They delivered the same purple duffel bag twice more , after already getting our second bag. We had a great lunch and service at Traders Pub, and didn’t need supper, so just grabbed a snack at their express cafe later, which was great. The next evening, we went back to the Traders Pub for dinner and while the food was good, the service was not. They were seating by reservation and then a wait list, but then forgot us- once they discovered this and hurried us in, the server took our drink order, then our food order, and the food came immediately- the drinks not until we were just about done with our food. Reception- I went to the lobby computer station to print our boarding passes for the next day and the printer wasn’t working. I went to the reception and asked for help, and the man just stared at me. He reluctantly came over, pressed a bunch of buttons trying to reset it, never did, and just shrugged and walked away. I ended up just taking screenshots of our boarding passes with my phone. The last morning, transfer of luggage and guests was very efficient- luggage was in a spot for us to collect after we got off the bus at the airport , and then got through security, which was easy, it being such a small airport.

We are on a Princess cruise & this is part of our package. Keep that in mind. Positive: staff, views outside, outside deck by the river. Negative: hotel is dated, no gym, hot tub, live music in side or outside. There is nothing to do here when you’re not touring. People milling around & sleeping in chairs. No makeup mirror in room, hand cream, pen & pad for notes, no room safes. Definitely a factory, would not come back here or Fairbanks.

Good basic lodge. No fridge no coffee in reception area. Asked at desk best way to get to Walmart to pick up a few things they said by cab and called for us. It cost 30$. Found out there was a bus running it was free for anyone over 60 just need to have time and have to change buses 1 time. The drivers are so very helpful.
