Sierra Sun Cloud Inn - Colfax

We made a reservation for one night at the Sun Cloud Inn. The property was beautiful and the host was very congenial. However there were a few things that we were disappointed in. 1. One of the things we look forward to at a bed and breakfast is the chance to eat a yummy breakfast and chat with other guests. The sun cloud inn apparently used to serve a nice breakfast, but now you get a very limited fix your own breakfast. There was a supply of store bought muffins, yogurt, and fruit. That was about it. 2. There is a nice game room, where you eat your breakfast, but strangely, there were no tables to sit at while you eat, or if you wanted to play a game. 3. No tv in the rooms, but there was a large tv in the game room. However, it did not work. Our host told us he was having issues with the service provider, and it was not working. 4. We received a separate strange charge on our credit card that was in addition to the room. I sent an email asking what the charge was for, and never received an answer. 5. All of the guest rooms are up a long flight of stairs, so if you are older or hanicapped, this is not the lace for you. If you just want a nice quiet place for the night, then this place is okay, but I did not feel like it was worth the price.
