Tive uma experiência maravilhosa na Pousada da Juventude de Coimbra! Desde o momento da chegada até a partida, tudo foi impecável. As instalações são boas e o pequeno almoço é excelente, com fruta e uma ampla seleção de itens frescos e saborosos. A localização da Pousada é excelente, com fácil acesso às principais atrações da cidade. Além disso, a equipa de colaboradores esteve disponível para fornecer recomendações e ajudar no que foi preciso. This hotel is a hidden gem! Great location that includes being minutes (walking) from the heart of old city center of Coimbra, great small resturants, shopping, and seeing the university. There is also a grocery store about 2 minutes walking distance which is always a bonus in my book. This hotel is located about 4 walking minutes from the train station and about a 7 minute drive from the bus station. What I loved about this hotel is the bar area, which is also the breakfast area, and then you walk up a flight of stairs to one of the best roof top sitting area! Amazing picture taking. The bar opens at 4:00PM and offers light eats, wine, beer, and other drinks. Good prices as well. Breakfast is very good with eggs, bacon, fruit, and many other items. The only con I would say is that the rooms are a little dated and bare essentials provided. However, it doesn't keep me from recommending the hotel highly and I would love to visit again. Also, bonus the staff is very friendly and helpful. Great stay!

Charming. Yes, it is a little old fashioned but as it sails serenely towards its 100th birthday we found it a lovely antidote to the identikit modernity offered by so many tourist hotels. The location is just about perfect for travellers as it's only a few minutes walk from both the railway station and the main street. The staff are superb; welcoming and a very good source of information if required.
