Located in the center of Coimbra, it is conveniently located for sightseeing. It is a little far from the express bus stop and the train station, so it is better to use a taxi or Uber. I arrived before the check-in time, but they kindly let me store my luggage (my luggage was brought to the room when I checked in). The room was clean and comfortable, but the shower/toilet was separated from the room by glass, so it may be uncomfortable for people other than couples. Breakfast is served on the top floor (5F). The variety and quantity were sufficient.

Situado en el centro de Coimbra, cerca del rio y de todos los principales atractivos turísticos de la ciudad. Nos asignaron una habitación en la primera planta tenía terraza trasera. La habitación bien equipada, confortable ( por decir algo las almohadas son de viscolatex son muy duras, altas) . La televisión está oculta tras uno de los espejos de la habitación. Hay nevera y agua . La ducha y wc recrea la biblioteca Joanina muy original y confortable con mamparas de cristal.
El desayuno es en la 5º planta, muy rico todo. Yo pondría más variedad de frutas frescas( había manzana piña y sandía). Puedes subir a cualquier hora y tomar café o infusiones , galletas y bizcocho cortesía del hotel. Nos guardaron el equipaje hasta la tarde sin coste.

The best hotel. The interior is beautiful. The staff is friendly. The location is good. If I go to Coimbra again, I will stay at this hotel.

Beware, it is not a Hästens Sleep Spa anymore! New beds, average amenities 🙁 Still the old crew who tries to make up with friendliness for the shift towards being an average hotel. Our incentive for a stopover in Coimbra is gone unfortunately.

The room is very stylish, the bed is super comfortable, and the service is first-rate. The front desk and restaurant staff are very warm and thoughtful. It would be perfect if there was a hanging place for clothes between the beds.

We stayed here for 4 days. The hotel does not have a formal reception area open to the public, you tap in and out with your card. Ring the bell to get access on arrival. There is no restaurant or bar. However, breakfast is served on the 5th floor with a lovely view of the river. Breakfast is good - continental with scrambled eggs to order. Nespresso coffee. During the day the 5th floor is open and you can bring your own wine, help yourself to free tea coffee and cakes. The rooms AC excellent Internet very fast Beds / pillows very comfortable TV is integral to the wall mirror and I was able to mirror/share netix, prime etc from my phone with no issues. Showrs spacious and good pressure Toilet also very nice. Rooms ana indeed all the hotel areas decorated like a library, very tastefully done. Staff extremely helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here next time we visit.

Incroyable hôtel avec des chambres dingues!!!! Notre douche et les WC étaient dans des bibliothèques en pierre et le lavabo fait un grand livre ouvert. L’accueil est au top. Le rooftop est magnifique. Il y a du thé du café et des pâtisseries à discrétion. On a même le droit de pique niquer sur le rooftop !! Emplacement parfait avec vue dégagée et prix de dingue!! Je recommande à fond!! BRAVO

Ótima localização no centro da região histórica da cidade, proxima a Universidade de Coimbra e outros pontos turísticos, bem como dos principais restaurantes da cidade. Quarto amplo, muito bem equipado, decoração charmosa que remete à biblioteca Joanina, de muito bom gosto. Staff muito atencioso e prestativo. Café da manhã com poucos ítens, mas de otima qualidade, suficiente para começar seu dia. Além disso oferece chá da tarde. Tem rooftop com uma linda vista. Fiquei muito satisfeito em escolher esse hotel.
