Cluny is nice town with a gorgeous abbey and a very nice hotel called hostellerie d'Heloïse. The rooms are adequate, not too big, but 1 night more than sufficient; Dinner and breakfast was very good indeed. Room plus breakfast was about 124 euros. We chose the menu and this was truly a nice surprise: served with certain panache by the owner and nice knowledgeable waiter.

We stopped overnight on our way north and were warmly welcomed. Our room was on the top floor (no lift) . The room was a little old fashioned but spotlessly clean . I immediately turned off all heating on arrival but it stayed warm all night and we could not open the windows because we had our cats with us. Comfortable beds. We had the Menu d'Heliose for dinner and it was really good - it started with some tasters and then I had a salad of smoked trout followed by sea bream with a parsnip risotto. The owner recommended a really good bottle of Macon Bussière white wine. Breakfast was good , I liked the lemon drizzle cake. Friendly efficient service. It is situated beside a train line and a busy road so if the windows were open this might be a problem but we didn't here any noise with the closed windows. I would stop here again - 257€ for DBB is reasonable. Black mark to Trip Advisor for putting a picture of the Abbey instead of the hotel

Old fashioned and homely hotel by a busy road and the now defunct Cluny station. Location is very convenient for cyclists using the voie verte and also for the bus stop to Maçon TGV station. The lounge and dining room are very attractive and restful overlooking the Grosne river. The rooms are comfortable and although we had rooms directly adjacent to the road, the quadruple glazing kept the noise out well. Road noise might be an issue if the weather was hot however and there was a need to keep the windows open overnight. We did not eat at the restaurant as frustratingly, our tour company had told us erroneously that there was no need to book ahead. The breakfast was very good however. The owners were charming and very helpful and we were able to leave our bags with them while we explored the town before getting the Maçon bus. We would like to return in the future and next time will be sure to book the restaurant in advance.

Das Restaurant mag von außen nicht überzeugen, aber innen mit den freundlichen Plätzen am Fluss Grosne und den elganten Tischen durchaus. Die Reservierung klappte vorzüglich, das Service war ausgezeichnet. Kleine Karte, gute zeitliche Abstimmung der Gänge. Der Adlerfisch war wirklich gut und auch die Weinbegleitung sehr passend.

Chambre un peu désuète mais propre avec une excellente literie. Seul bémol un tuyau très chaud sous le bureau chambre 7 qui a transformé la chambre en four en plein mois d'octobre. Nous avons donc dû ouvrir la fenêtre. Malheureusement l'emplacement de l'hôtel devant une route très passante nous a obligés à choisir la chaleur ou le bruit. Bref une nuit peu reposante. Très bon petit déjeuner et propriétaires charmants Nous n'avons pas pu tester le restaurant car nous étions avec notre fille végétarienne et ce n'est pas le style du restaurant. Merci pour l'accueil.

Freundlicher, professioneller Empfang. Kostenloser Parkplatz gegenüber des Hotels. Schön am Fluss gelegen. - Zimmer groß, gepflegt. - Leider liegt das Hotel direkt an einer Straße mit sehr viel Verkehr. Somit mussten wir die Fenster schliessen über Nacht. Im Hochsommer war es sehr warm im Zimmer, nur die Ventilatoren halfen, keine Klimaanlage. - Leckeres und gutes Essen im Haus. Restaurant zu empfehlen.

Hôtel qui aurait besoin de rénovation , nous avions une chambre assez petite donnant sur la route ( avec pas mal de circulation ) et très mal agencée , pas de porte à la salle de bain , aucune intimité dans ce cas , Point de vue restauration, rien à redire , repas délicieux , service parfait , personnel poli , professionnel et attentionné , par contre un verre de vin à 7 euros et une bouteille d’eau à 7 euros également….c’est assez exagéré !! Peut être que nous y retournerons mais à craindre que la qualité du repas ne soit plus du tout la même, vu que les patrons cherchent à céder !!

Ce restaurant gastronomique de Cluny au cadre un peu désuet vaut le détour. On y mange bien à un prix correct au bord de la Grosne avec une vue agréable. Nous n'avons pas regretté d'y avoir réservé. Nous n'avons pas testé l'hôtel. A recommander.
