The outstanding features were the food quality and service, and the front desk, except for one rude and unhelpful woman who checked us in and out. The other front desk people were fabulous. The main reason for the 4 stars over 5 was the rooms. There is nothing really wrong with them, but the bathroom is Super 8 quality at best, the TV did not work (they tried to fix but the remote never worked and it had to be unplugged to turn off), and the interior is just very plain with newer wood panels among the knotty pine. One would think for several hundred a night the fitness center would be included, but no, it's $5 as ”it's part of the pro shop and not the hotel.” C'mon guys. The common area outside is great. Large wigwam burner style fireplaces were lit at least on Saturday night against a foggy evening. Elk roam the property and the links--it's really a pleasant place to sit and sip a glass or two of wine and take in the views and people watch. Gearhart is a laid back community, with a very wide, mostly featureless beach. Very few services, but all you could want are minutes away in Seaside and Cannon Beach. We will gladly return, now that we know what to expect.

Everything was exceptional. We got great communication and accommodations from the front desk. The whole place was neat and appealing. The breakfast was average but there were lots of goodies to choose from. The pool was very clean. MY favorite part was the location and how close the walking distance is from everything. We didn’t have to move our vehicle at all once we began our day. I would definitely book here again.

This hotel is under the bridge. When it arrived, there was no twin room. I added 30 dollars to change the big bed water view room. It was worth it! The air conditioner was on at night, and the fireplace was burning gas. It was just right. It turned out that the morning by the sea was foggy and cold. The fireplace was not only warm, but also wet, great! The location is about1.5 kilometers outside the old city. The surrounding environment is suitable for walking, eating, watching the sunset. The experience is great! recommend!

This motel is ideally located right on the Prom. The staff was very friendly and accommodating of every request I made. I was especially impressed that Front Desk employee, Nancy, helped me to lug all my bags up to the second floor. Room #207 was fabulous for watching the fishermen and clam digging folks from my bed every morning. Moderately priced even on Premium Ocean view rooms. Walking distance to most restaurants and the shops and even the famous Turnaround.

Hotel location is really good! The room given to us can see the sea, the facilities are not bad, the bath water is very hot, the room size is right, that is, the 11th period plus Friday, the price is really expensive! The service was very good. We arrived early and helped us arrange the stay early. There was free beer time on Friday. I went to taste it. All kinds of strange beer were hard to say. At the same time, there are free biscuits at the front desk. The American biscuits are too sweet!
