I recently stayed at this hotel and was really impressed! The location is super convenient — just a short walk to a major shopping mall, which made it easy to grab meals, shop, and explore without needing a taxi.
The room was surprisingly spacious, modern, and very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable — I slept like a baby every night. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and everything in the room felt brand new.
One thing that stood out was the staff. They were all friendly, professional, and spoke good English, which made check-in and asking for recommendations a breeze.
If you’re looking for a comfortable, affordable place near the mall, this hotel is a great choice. I’d definitely stay here again

-10/10 for the room, location, and cleanliness with nice city view of the city.
-1/10 for Seevices. PM staff at the reception looked exhausted, and I did not feel welcomed at checking in.
-5/10 for breakfast as some of the food were cold instead of keeping them warm. FB staff had 0 service skills. No communication and ignoring customers.
- It is so difficult to see a smile from any staff here except the security guy.
This is my second stay here, but last time was 200% better.
Lovely hotel with two different facilities-the garden wing was opened in late 2024 and the ocean wing was fully renovated during the pandemic. Both are lovely facilities. The ocean views from the pool and restaurant in the ocean wing are stunning while the pool and terraced lounging area and gardens at the garden wing are excellent for swimming and tanning. Both have excellent pool-side bar service. The garden wing also has a cafe with perhaps the best latte in the area. The breakfast was served at the ocean wing and was okay; it was a bit uncomfortable though because people brought pets into the breakfast area. The gym was rather basic for a facility that is excellent in other categories.
All of the staff were nice. Unfortunately, I only got the name of one of them. Mr. Of was friendly and he and his colleagues always greeted us warmly coming and going.
Need a car to reach there. Can consider going to right of Marriott. Small towns exotic flavours. This Marriott is a bit old. But is a resort place. Has huge swimming pool and slides. Link to beach. Overall a good hotel.
When traveling during the Spring Festival, the choice of hotel is crucial. This hotel is the perfect choice for a trip! As soon as you step into the room, you will see the neatly made bed and spotless floor, demonstrating the ultimate hygiene standards everywhere. The service staff is warm and thoughtful, accompanying you attentively from check-in to check-out. The complete facilities and pleasant environment will add warmth and comfort to your journey in the Year of the Snake.
Good hotel ! Hotel is close to Beach , unfortunately the hotel building in front of beach not available to stay.
but the room we stay is sea view at good price (comparing nearby hotel + breakfast)
the facilities is good , and the swimming pool is great (there are several pools but only good to swim only biggest pool , the rest are in maintenance)
but a bit complaint , the day we stayed at hotel , there are big company trip using this hotel , and very noisy and taken all facilities include to breakfast area and pools.
we should be informed before we stay so that we could make decision to stay or postpone or else

I recently stayed at a resort hotel in Rayong during a business trip, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The location offered a perfect balance—peaceful and scenic surroundings ideal for relaxing after a full day of meetings, while still being conveniently accessible to the city’s business areas.
The hotel staff were welcoming, attentive, and quick to assist with anything I needed, making my stay smooth and stress-free. My room was spacious, quiet, and equipped with all the essentials for both rest and work—reliable Wi-Fi, a comfortable desk, and great amenities.
Each morning started with a delicious breakfast, featuring a variety of local and international options that catered to every preference. It was the perfect fuel before diving into a busy schedule.
I highly recommend this hotel for business travelers seeking a productive yet relaxing environment during their stay in Rayong.
The hotel is located in a shopping area of Ban Chang. The room is very spacious, there are two bottles of water, the bed is soft and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. There may be a little bit of parking, but there is a parking lot further away. The price is not expensive. Overall, it is worth the price.

GGuest UserThis resort is pretty perfect for families or people not wanting to party every night. I stayed here with my elderly parents, and I don't really have anything bad to say about it. The location is perfect, a few minutes walk on the beach to the more busy part in one direction, and a few minutes the other direction to some of the more nightclub places. This resort is nestled in-between those two noisy places and you can't hear the sound of the music if you want to sleep early. This is why I would rate this place as 10/10. Something to note is that the walk to the rooms is up a hill, so if you don't like walking then maybe it's not for you. For the price, I don't think you can do better than this place.
MMJ98Positives:
> Beautifully designed - the outward appearance of the hotel is quite spectacular and is very well decorated.
> Comfortable rooms - the beds are large and comfortable with plenty of pillows and cushions and the rooms have plenty of places to sit.
> Room size - rooms are large and feel spacious.
> Cleanliness - The hotel was immaculately clean in all areas.
> Staff - Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
> Location - the location is ideal for walkability to shops, restaurants and the beach.
Negatives:
> Events - The hotel also hosts events which can be very loud and go on late into the night.
> Doors/soundproofing - We noticed that there was a significant gap in our door which meant that it wasn't particularly soundproof and we were kept awake most of the night (until 2am) by other guests outside our room.
> Location - although I have stated the positives about the location above, the negatives are that the hotel is in close proximity to some bar with live music or karaoke which is incredibly loud and can go on very late into the night. Both the noise from the guests at this hotel and the event down the road was very significant and kept us awake late into the night.
> Breakfast - Breakfast is served cold. Although they have the equipment to keep the food warm, for some reason they choose not to. Unless you are lucky enough to catch something as soon as it is placed in the container it will go cold quickly. Eggs, bacon, fried rice, local dishes etc are all cold by the time you get them which is not common for Thai hotels and also very disappointing.
Comments for the hotel:
> Doors - please ensure all doors do not have gaps in between. This can be done easily with some rubber lining on the door frame. This would increase the soundproofing of the room dramatically.
> Noise - I understand that the hotel cannot control the bar down the street which plays loud music all night but it does have control over its own events and its own guests. There should be strict rules about drunk guests making noise late into the night and knocking on doors. Nowhere in the rules does it state ”quiet hours” which I believe it should. I understand that events at the hotel serve as a large source of the hotel's income, but there's no need to neglect other guests who stay there.
> Breakfast - use the equipment you already own properly and keep the breakfast food hot. I do not know any Thai people who enjoy cold food and keeping the food warm would increase the quality of the breakfast dramatically. Despite being a small cafe, the breakfast has quite a variety and the flavour is good but the temperature of the food really ruins the breakfast.
MMJ98Cleanliness - The room was fantastic, spotless in fact, 5/5.
Location - I give this 3/5 because the hotel is located at a beautiful beach. However, the street around the hotel has nothing else on it (not the fault of the hotel obviously). The beach itself is beautiful, I will repeat, but only immediately in front of the hotel. The rest of the beach is very dirty.
Service - This is where this hotel becomes a real disaster, and if I could I would give this section 0/5. We checked in around 11pm to 11:30pm. The staff came to the counter while watching a movie on his phone and left the movie playing full volume whilst looking for our key. After a very long process of checking the computer he led us to a room. He stumbled a lot on his way and appeared drunk. When we got to the room, he looked inside and told us it was already occupied. He told us that our room had been sold to someone else because we were late checking in and led us back to the reception where he walked off somewhere without telling us any more information. We stayed at the reception and used the bathroom facilities in the meantime. I also proceeded to contact trip dot com's customer support to let them know about the issue. After a while had passed he came back and walked past us to the bathroom. After coming out of the bathroom he led us to a new room and told us that this room was now available. The whole thing was bizarre and we were caused to worry unnecessarily by being told that we didn't have a room. I cannot think of any justification for his actions and it started off the stay at this hotel very poorly.
Amenities - The amenities provided by the hotel were adequate. They included a bottle of water in the room. I do like when hotels provide toothbrushes and other smaller things so that would be the difference between me providing a 4/5 and a 5/5 for this part.
GGuest UserWonderful hotel. Clean and perfect territory, kind staff. Mr Pong was very kind, polite and our stay in this hotel was wonderful!
We prolonged our stay 1 day more, so nice it was!
Sandy beach with clean water, but after storm there were a lot of dirty things.
I would recommend everybody to stay here!
Lliliia_wanderlustWe booked Thai House Cottage. The house is not big, but cozy. We had sea view. The location is great, the breakfast was ok, variety of food. You can also enjoy fire show at 8pm
AAndrei SushchenkoVery nice place. Not too much sunbeds, but tey have service in near bar. Breakfast not so large choose, but very delicious. Pier near not so good because of gasoline.
GGuest UserOur Favorite Island Escape!
This was our fifth stay at Vangduen Hotel, and we already can’t wait to come back! It’s the kind of place that never disappoints. In fact, the only sad part is packing up to leave.
The location is perfect—tucked away on the quiet side of the island, offering so much peace and natural beauty. The clear, calm water and the soft white sand (honestly, it feels like flour!) make it the perfect spot to relax. Even though it’s peaceful, there’s still plenty to do. There’s a great selection of restaurants, a small shop for anything you might need, and a fun fire show in the evenings.
The hotel itself is spotless, well-equipped, and super comfortable. The staff are amazing—so friendly and always happy to help with anything you need. It’s those little things that make each stay so special.
We’d recommend this place 100%. In fact, we’ve already booked our next trip in two weeks! Vangduen Hotel really is a gem, and we feel lucky to have found it.
NNBWThe journey to reach the resort, from the mainland, is a small adventure in itself but well worth it. We only stayed for 3 nights but it was very enjoyable. The small chalet was perfect for a couple and luckily a short walk from the beach, not too far and not too close. Sun loungers and bean bags were plentiful. Breakfast was good and the staff excellent.
Very relaxing.
TToto LawyerThis trip, we booked two rooms, came with 4 friends. The accommodation did not have a shuttle bus, but we rented a car from the pier for 100 baht. The receptionist was friendly. We stayed on the 3rd floor, the stairs were very steep. Elderly people should avoid it. Fortunately, there were staff to help carry our bags up for us. The view from up was beautiful and made us feel less tired.
⭐The room was in a minimalist style, fully equipped, but the room was quite old. You can see from the cracks in the floor tiles. The curtains had black mold stains. The bathroom ventilation fan had a lot of dust. The pillow was sagging and uncomfortable to sleep on, but the bed was comfortable and usable. The water flow from the sink faucet was very weak, but the shower water flowed moderately.
⭐There is a cafe in the accommodation, but no restaurant. You have to walk along the beach to eat outside, but it is not far. In front of the beach, there are chairs to sit and relax, but after 5 pm, the staff will come to inform us that they will ask to take the chairs because they are getting off work. In my opinion, I think they should have extended the time a bit. The guests were sitting and relaxing, which could have ruined the mood.
⭐The breakfast tasted okay. We could tell the staff when we wanted to eat it, between 8-10 am, but our room had to sit and eat in front of the room. In the morning, the sun was shining, and it was quite hot.
⭐In summary, the accommodation is not expensive, the service is good, the view is beautiful, that's it.
TTeeks I stayed at a quiet mini resort, which was great for peace and quiet. The best part was the chocolate cabin in the woods behind it. The infinity pool was mostly quiet and the rooms were cleaned well, which was important to me as someone with OCD. Despite being on the ground level with a sea view, I didn't encounter any bugs or ants inside.
The staff was decent, but not overly welcoming or friendly. Jik, who worked at the reception, was helpful and booked reservations for us at restaurants and other Samed group resorts. However, the resort was a bit far (15-minute drive) from everything else, making it quite a ride by motorbike or taxi. The distance felt longer when traveling around the island.
My least favourite thing was the breakfast restaurant. The Japanese style seating, while great for lunches or dinners, became annoying after a day or two, especially during breakfast when I needed to get up several times and bruised myself getting up. The restaurant also had an ant problem, which made me feel very uneasy and ruined my enjoyment of breakfast. I wished we hadn't included breakfast at the hotel. I felt that the same hygiene methods used for the rooms should be applied to the restaurant to prevent the ant issue.
