Front desk was so nice and helpful ! Love thy remodeled of the rooms . I would only say I didn’t love a large opening under our door , I had to stuff towels under to keep light from shining at night. We had a great stay tho and can’t wait to come back .

We enjoyed everything about our stay except for the fact that the pool was not heated, hence we couldn’t use note did anyone else. If you have a pool in Oregon especially in June, it needs to be heated.

In the newly remodeled rooms the hotel needs to make sure all the electrical is plugged in. We were very comfortable in the new rooms.

I travel frequently for business, and unfortunately, my recent stay at Monarch was far from satisfactory. The internet connection was among the worst I’ve experienced in any hotel — a serious issue since I rely on a stable connection for work. The room was also not properly stocked after the previous guest, which speaks to a lack of attention to detail. Adding to my frustration, I noticed a $10.00 charge on my credit card with no explanation. As someone who is exceptionally neat and respectful of hotel property, I have no idea what this charge could be for. When I called to inquire, the front desk representative was rude and dismissive, telling me to call a separate number — which no one ever answers. Additionally, of the four ice machines in the hotel, only two were working. Small detail, but it adds up when you're already dealing with other issues. This experience fell far short of expectations, and I will not be staying at Monarch again.

The bed was very comfortable . The restaurant food very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. It was quiet at night. The conference area was nice. Overall a very good hotel. I would stay there again if the opportunity came up to do so.

The king bed mattress was firm just as I like it, and the room was quiet with adequate space. All staff were friendly and helpful, even when challenged by a last-minute increase in seminar attendees for the Sunday breakfast. The maid's cleaning service was very good. The LL conference room was spacious with the front wall paint a relaxing soft green. The onsite restaurant had friendly helpful wait staff who served excellent food with an Argentine influence, using fresh locally sourced produce. I told the organizers of the seminar to hold next year's seminar at this Monarch Hotel.

Do not stay at this hotel! Zero accommodations or empathy for their guests. Extremely thin walls, beds hard as a rock. If you think their advertised pool would be open in 70 degree May, you’d be wrong. As an option they offered us - as the Monarch General Manager put it, “free swimming at the gym across the street”. But, not to our surprise the gym charged us $8 each to use the pool. Also, what kind of hotel charges $10 a night for parking? Well, if you guessed The Monarch you’d be right. Also, we reserved a room with ADA accommodations and again…. they were unable, but more importantly, unwilling to honor and fulfill that request. (Someone might want to call the DOJ. The Monarch may be in violation of several ADA laws.) You would get better accommodations staying at meth hotel on 82nd. The Monarch should be ashamed of themselves. Zero stars!
