The hotel looks great in the photos and it is in a really nice old building, but that’s pretty much it. It is clean and in an ok location. The best thing about it is that it’s near to a really good cafe called Banh Khoai Hong Mai. We had booked a premium deluxe room which promised a terrace / balcony. The room we were shown to was really spacious but had no natural light. Only a glass door and a window facing into an inner corridor. There was nowhere to sit outside at all. The room we eventually got was ok but small and the shower had almost zero pressure. The staff were ok - the cleaning team particularly friendly - but the rest were not engaging although they were not unfriendly. There was a spa in the hotel, for example, but the only acknowledgement of that was “the spa is over there”. The breakfast was good - normal buffet style. The restaurant was is a nice little building to the side of the hotel but the food there - we had a lunch and a dinner - was average at best. The pool was like getting in a warm bath. There was mould around the edges. To be fair they did clean it but decided to do this on a day we had planned to spend the afternoon by the pool without any warning. If we had known they were going to shut the pool for most of the day we should have made different plans. The grounds were badly maintained. A guy came to mow the lawns one day but did less than half and disappeared. I wouldn’t be rushing back.

Excellent location in the ancient part of the city, away from touristy commercial hell. I stayed alone in a bedroom with a double bed. The walls are very thin and the family that runs the hotel starts their activities at 5AM with pretty loud talking, so you'll need earplugs if noise bothers you like me. The equipment was basic but had everything I needed: aircon, hot water (albeit with a quite small heater that allowed for 10 minutes or so). You can rent motorbikes on location and the staff is helpful even in spite of the language barrier. Good value for your money

I would like to share my positive experience organizing my trip with Anna from Soleil Hotel in Hue. Hotel was great from all Perspektive location/price/breakfast. I have special wishes and complex travel plan, in 1.5 days I want see a lot and can not get good support unless I find this team. Anna organized pickup, managed all my journey including laundry, early hosting and take care of me during traveling. In additional she organized Scooter. This is just excellent. Highly recommend! Thanks a lot Anna and Hotel Team, great job and customer support!

A newly refurbished hotel; all the facilities seem very new and worked well. A friendly welcome at reception and we were then shown to a really well furnished room on the top floor. The satellite tv system was excellent ; good range of English channels helped me catch up with international news events. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was lovely. Everything is so new and really works well. Breakfast was good with a range of local items to try and a good range of eggs - my omelette was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

While the staff are very nice and helpful, we were somewhat disappointed by our stay. Positive: Small hotel located away from the tourist areas on a quiet street within walking distance to many of the sights. Negative: - Room was very dark. - Poor lighting in the bathroom made it hard to use the mirror. - The closet vanity doors could not be fully opened on one side due to the hanging curtain. - No mini-fridge present (though there was a price guide for its contents in the room) - Dust under cabinets.

Nice part of town and close walking distance to many places such as walking street, vincom, river and much more. A bit of history if you look really close and experience something unique. Breakfast was ok and rooms are a bit dated but that's the charm of the hotel. Gym could be upgraded as only one treadmill that didn't work and one bike that wasn't plugged in. Universal exercise machine must have been as old as the hotel but all in all good value for money.
