LOVED this resort. Everyone we met who worked here was courteous, friendly and genuinely seemed to care about their job and our stay at the resort. The food at both restaurants on the property was some of the best we've ever had anywhere on vacation. Unmatched views of Sedona's red rocks. Absolutely lovely!

We had our Granddaughter and mom in for an Arizona visit so Grand Canyon and Sedona were at the tope of the list. In looking at places to stay this looked like a Southwest style they would enjoy. The pictures are current and the place is as advertised. Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Good location close to town dining and shops. Pool and spa nice for this class of hotel. Breakfast is included but not much to chose from. If your need coffee and a bagel its ok but not much else. Second floor rooms have a balcony with table and chairs your can sit out and relax on also. Even though it was only one night we were very happy with this hotel for what we expected. Will go back again. Hint: Rooms on second floor have a better view, but there are about 10 steps up from the walkway so if that gives you issues climbing (with your bags as well) you may want to stay on first floor. You can see the steps in the photos.

This place was so much fun! They really catered to families with young kids. We were given a scavenger hunt to fill out during check-in. .The kids LOVED doing that. I would also recommend trying the included breakfast. We had a suite with a beautiful view of the mountains. We also walked across the street to grab pizza. Excellent food! We also enjoyed the heated pool and spa in the evening.

It is a small villa with all kitchen utensils and utensils. The sofa bed is not good, so it can only be used as a floor. Overall, it is worth staying in. Go to the supermarket to buy some vegetables and make them easily. It is very convenient and worth recommending.
Although the sparrow is small and complete, the small house is very complete and the kitchen utensils are basically everything. You can see the stars when you open the door at night. Unfortunately, our room heating is broken and it is cold at night and the room is not very clean.

The breakfast was great. It was the best in the hotel where I had breakfast for free on this trip. There were whole wheat bread, scones, fruit, fresh milk, and I could make my own waffles. The front desk staff was also very enthusiastic.

OK, I signed up for a weekend with the timeshare presentation. You would think they would try to give us a nice room, etc. Seriously? Right next to the overflowing dumpster. Parking is realllly limited at all times. And they are continuing to build. We were in one of the renovated studio units. It felt really confining. Yes, it had a patio -- but it looked at the parked cars. The toilet seat was broken, the coffee maker didn't work, the vertical blinds do not keep out the light, the AC cycles on for while with freezing, blasting air, and then it cycles off and it gets truly hot. On top of that, the entire complex feels really congested. Our room felt like an inside cabin on a ship. They offered us another week for $1,000 so we could consider it further. No. Just no.

GGuest UserThis is a beautiful resort located in the middle of the canyon. It's a little bit far from the town, however, you get really connected with nature. I had a room facing the canyon, it's beautiful like you are living solo with nature. The sunlight is great, the rooms are clean and cozy. It does need some maintenance as it gets old over time, however, they are very comfortable to stay in. The best thing I love is the energy in the house and around. Stuff are super nice there and easy to work with.

What a great hotel! The staff was so pleasant and helpful. The hotel backs up to the Coconino National Forrest. That means you literally walk out of your room and onto hiking trails. The hotel has a beautiful sunset spot complete with Adirondack chairs to sit in. In addition to 2 pools, a great breakfast, and nice rooms, they had all kinds of on site ”excursions” like star gazing, psychic readings, therapeutic massage. The concierge knows all the best hiking trails if that is what you are into. we highly recommend this hotel.
GGuest UserNothing bad to say, the rooms are stunning and clean, the staff was very accommodating and kind. Beautiful property and many pools throughout the resort for ppl to use. I would come again My only wish is that there were more plates to accommodate the number of guests and utensils.

GGlobal01695650485I was underwhelmed, and frankly would not recommend staying here. The mountain view was over a busy road and row of buildings, with cars, exhaust, and noise a plenty. Nearby restaurants were surprisingly weak, and the shops were filled mostly with junky tourist stuff. But what really messed me up was the way the heater turned on and off throughout the night. It was either too hot or too cold and I woke up constantly. We ended up leaving a day early, loosing the money for that night as I just couldn't take it. Our room was clean, but old and tired, and it was smaller than I expected. If there was a way to get ice, we did not find it, and of course since this motel is not staffed there was no one to ask. We ended up buying ice from the grocery store a few blocks down the street. There was a fridge in the room, and I believe a microwave as well, thought we didn't use it. The personless check-in worked fine. I got a text with the door code which worked fine the first try. No worries on that front. Bottom line: Skip this place and pay up for one of the nicer places with a pleasant view. Or just skip Sedona and try one of the other mountain towns. Could I redo our trip, I would have skipped Sedona and spend time in Prescott, which had way more going on and a really fun vibe.

We are not staying at Amara, but came for dinner at Saltrock on October 20th. Our server for dinner Lydia was delightful and took excellent care of us. We overheard her saying that she had been there all day yet she was very attentive and courteous. Amy, the hostess, handled a busy crowd with grace. The parking attendants ( didn’t get their names) were very polite and efficient.

GGuest UserFirst, the positive:
1. The staff was courteous, professional, and helpful.
2. The outdoor area was well above par. The pool was clean with in-pool loungers (4). Safety equipment and signage posted. Multiple cabanas (6?) were available. Large fire pit with plentiful seating. The pool is 5 feet deep at the center. This is not a pool made for swimming laps, but for lounging.
3. Rooms have an outdoor balcony with a table and 2 chairs.
4. Windows have both a blackout screen and a privacy screen. The window is able to be opened for fresh air and is screened.
5. HVAC was in good order and worked perfectly.
6. In room refrigerator was clean and worked well. Microwave, TV, and phone in room.
7. Breakfast area was spacious and breakfast offered multiple options though I did not avail myself of this amenity.
Now, the negative:
1. The room itself was much smaller (king bed ) than expected. Room was cramped and looked nothing like the pictures on the website.
2. The bathrooms were recently remodeled, but the aesthetics are problematic. Why would anyone put wood laminate flooring in a bathroom with a walk in shower that has approximately a 2” inch lip and shower curtain in lieu of doors? You take a shower and the floor gets wet...no bueno.
3. There is a $10 per night service fee charged on registration. The fee is for wifi and other services. I don't recall seeing this posted when I reserved the room, but perhaps I overlooked it. I didn't object paying it, but the fee should be transparent.
4. Housekeeping is performed every 3 days and if you need more towels, etc., simply contact the front desk and they will have what you need brought up.
Other: I booked the room for 2 nights but opted not to stay the 2nd night.
