Outstanding
GGuest UserNewly updated interior of room, fresh paint, new flooring, updated bathroom fixtures. Very comfortable bed and fresh linens. Breakfast included was well stocked with many options. Would 10/10 recommend.
HH BHonestly, I stayed here because the Craftsman grill restaurant is one of the best in the area! I am sorry to say the hotel DOES NOT meet the same standards. The hotel is outdated! The lobby, hallways, etc. just very old school gives me a 1900s vibe. The actual room was ok and has potential. It was just a disappointment; I would have thought it would have an inviting feel but instead its very solemn and bland. All guests are around the ages of 60+ which is fine, but I feel that's what the hotel aims for which is fine if that's what keeps them running. The rooms are all showers unless you want to pay 300+ for suite which is overall for this hotel is not worth it. The stay was not worth the price I paid and I most likely will not be staying here again and do not recommend unless it's the last resort or your only in town for business and just need an ok environment to sleep in.
LLauradbrooksI was assigned this hotel for a work trip. On the surface, seems standard. The check in agent couldn't have shown that he cared less if he tried. It wasn't busy, he was just apathetic. The room was clean, adequate. I wasn't impressed with nowhere to put my clothes out of sight. There was a pipe on the wall to hang my clothes. My underwear- slap those suckers right on the mini fridge out in the open. The bathroom was fine, but who decided to name the soap company ”not soap radio”? I went to wash my hands and all I see is a bottle of something labeled ”not soap” on the wall. The TV wouldn't turn off which was annoying. No pool. Breakfast was highly disappointing. Check out went marginally better, at least they had a pleasant to neutral disposition.
This Embassy Suites is a perfect place to stay while in Syracuse and area. The hotel has been fully renovated and the pictures on the Hilton website are an accurate representation of what you will see when you arrive. Great location and plenty of free parking. The cooked-to-order breakfast and evening cocktail reception are well worth a visit. What impressed us the most was the staff at the hotel. We were always made to feel welcome and they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The suites are nicely decorated and the one we had showed no wear and tear, everything was well maintained and very clean. Good job Embassy Suites on Old Collamer Road, DeWitt (adjacent to Syracuse and easy access to all major routes)!
GGuest UserShabby and rundown hotel, simple breakfast with muffin as the main course. Additionally, the sound proofing in the rooms we're extremely poor as we could hear the sounds of our neighbours resulting in bad sleep. On the other hand rhe location was great as it was next to the highway and the enormous mall with attractions rhat will keep you entertained for days.
Needed a Marriott room last minute on a night availability was tight all over town. Booked sight unseen. I'll admit it IS scary to roll up to an early build Courtyard, especially when it is located in a cluster of obviously older hotels. (I might have had an issue or two in the past with old Courtyards myself). Quiet (but I woud stay away from the highway if possible), clean, higher quality bedding. Don't think it had been a gut remodel, but room and public areas updated more than reasonably well. (Yes you could tell it was a bit older building, and a bit of musty to it. But redone way better than just smearing lipstick on it). I would say B or B+ hotel, and there is nothing wrong with that. Might not book if for a honeymoon, but if it is neatr where I need to be in town and the price is competetive I would stay there again. Reasonably near airport-but not right next door. If the hotel Bistro dining isn,t for you, there is a Ruby Tuesdays, and one other restaurant, a very short walking distance away. Forgot to check if there was a shuttle.
I booked here last minute as there were no (reasonable) hotels left in Syracuse and I needed to see my daughter at Syracuse University. I’m so glad I did! While a budget hotel, the bed is quite comfortable. The amenities are nice and the place is so ridiculously clean you could eat off the floor, literally! The check-in process was easy, the staff was lovely, and it was a perfect night for a place to stay and get on with what I needed to do. Highly recommend.
PPebbles SosnoskiFor one don’t use TRIP.com to book your trip. You over pay and have unexplained charges on your card.
The hotel was NOT in a good area at all. Did not feel safe especially at night. Homeless people all around and boarded up buildings. Did not look like the picture. The night person was not friendly at check in and parking was an issue all three nights. You’re not guaranteed a place to park at night if you don’t get back to the hotel early. We tried to get a refund and were unable to from the hotel or TRIP.com that says they guarantee your satisfaction.
On the plus side our room was clean and nice. The TV didn’t work and I called the desk and she couldn’t help but thank goodness my husband got it fixed… had to adjust the cable cords…The breakfast was very good.. and the front desk people were friendly.
We got the hotel room for my nephews wedding … because it said it was walking distance to many things. And that is true but you would need to carry a gun or knife upon starting your walk. People in the parking lot asking for money as well.
Below a few pics of the front and back… not looking like the picture.
KKolodzieNeeded a place to stay while bedroom was being worked on. Everyone and everything were great. Friendly and acomidating staff. Appreciated that we could stay on the 1st floor (hotel has 2 floors, husband has difficulty with stairs). Breakfast was adequate: make-your-own waffles, both dry and hot cereal, toast, pkg of little donuts, fruit and of course coffee, tea & cocoa. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was clean with towels and tub mat. Could use a night light - got one at Dollar Tree across the street that worked perfect.
BBENGWe check-in very late around 4:00am due to our late flight and 1 missing piece of luggage. Got our room promptly, but the bath tub was choke and dirty. Tried to change our room, but was told that there was no other available room, but they sent someone to fix it in the morning.
The hotel is pretty basic, more for people with own transport.
Location wise, there is not much around the area, but we found Denny's within walking distance. There are a couple of other eating places as well, though we didn't try them.
