GGuest UserWe were at the Holiday Inn Express for only one night, as we drove to Morehead City to pick-up a puppy. After reading a couple of reviews that felt the hotel was less than satisfactory, we picked it due to it's ideal location for us. We were absolutely thrilled upon arrival to find that the lobby, hallways as well as our room were spotlessly clean! The hot breakfast included in the price, was more than adequate to start the morning. I am happy to share, that in our experience, the hotel was ideal as it was clean convenient and that front desk staff more than willing to help with any questions! We had an as good or better experience than in many more upscale luxury hotels we have stayed in through many years of travel.

Very Good
One of the two elevators remained broke for the entire six days we were there. Our toilet was not working properly upon arrival and remained that way for the stay. The maintenance technician was very accommodating when assisting with the toilet but they were unable to get parts to fix the toilet, so we had to deal with the situation for the entire stay. The flooring in our suite needed to be replaced with sharp metal corners sticking up in the middle of the floor. We had to clean surfaces in the room upon arrival due to sticky spots on furniture tops. This hotel could use a refresh as furniture in the room appeared to be well-worn and outdated. The hotel is in a perfect location, central to many conveniences and right on the water (no beach, just a view).
