Very Good
I was greeted by friendly staff. This hotel had bigger than your adverage breakfast. The rooms are definitely dated, but I think this hotel is the best pick in the area. Parking lot is very big, no worries for anyone with a trailer. I did not use the pool, but it looked clean and was bigger than the adverage hotel pool.
EEllen CBreakfast included waffles, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, danish, bread/toast, juice and coffee. Clean room, did not use internet, had a late check in that went smooth and quick. We would stay again if our travels take us through there.
I tried and tried to get on their wifi with no luck. The manager was insistent that every other guest was getting on the wifi successfully but in spite of following his instructions repeatedly I was not able to log on. His instructions meant I had to close every window I was working on and turn the computer (a new high-end) off. I was never able to get the wifi password request to show up so my work was done before I started and it has really set me back. In addition to that the room was obviously not vacuumed because there was debris on the carpet so I’ve decided not to step on it without shoes. Inconvenient. There are bits of something stuck to the bottom of the sink (and no, I did not try to pick them off). The paper guide to the TV channels has a big sticky spot on it. The shower head is at shoulder height making washing hair an exercise in contortion. There is also an odor to the whole facility that is not very attractive. I know this a budget place but really, there are limits. I asked for a printed receipt for my room but the manager seemed reticent to give me one, asking multiple times if I wanted it right now or in the morning. If I’m asking for it now then it’s safe to assume I want it now. He said he is at the desk 24 hours (?) but when I said I hoped to leave around 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning he printed it right up. I don’t know why it had to be so difficult. The manager did try to help me and I did get some sleep but that's setting the bar pretty low even for a budget hotel. It can't be that hard to do much better. It's a room for the night but without any of the trimmings. I’ll be moving on quickly…
