The long-established 6 storey hotel is located in the centre of Phrae city with about 2 km from the Saturday night market and about 1.5 km from Pratu Chai market. Its decoration and tone mainly focus on ”Charming east Lanna” plus many carved teak furnitures. Staffs were nice, especially a cutie red fish at the lobby that swam toward us, opened and closed its mouth like talking to us, such a warm welcome! (we were playing with it while checked in & checked out). Our room was on the fourth floor. It was clean and comfortable. Bed runners and pillowcases were traditional Phrae style ”Mor Hom”. Breakfast was a buffet line with various menus. We had a pleasant experience here. 900 Baht/night was worth spending. Recommend!
... Huan Khan Thong Hotel : An interesting option if you plan to travel to Phrae. New building Beautiful modern design Located in a prime location, convenient for tourism. Near Pratuchai Municipal Market, which is a source of delicious food for both breakfast and at night. *Rooms are available according to the number of members participating in the trip. The interior is clean, beautifully decorated, complete with amenities. *There is a salt system swimming pool. Bicycle (4 cars) is available and convenient parking. *The related area is also an old community of Thong Thong Meat Mine. full of charm But throughout the area there are also ”street art” works that tell the story of the community through art that you will fall in love with.
Pretty poor really. The location is not ideal for the town centre, shops and restaurants all of which you need transport for. Ample parking and the property is well designed being on two sides of a triangle, nice communal areas and furniture but the guest rooms are very dated and in real need of refreshing, the bed sheets had holes in and we tried to get them changed only to be told in Thai that all the bed sheets had holes in! Has a nice swimming pool and deck area, breakfast was OK but very ordinary and the one evening meal we had there was equally uninspiring. The hotel was full with people travelling up country for the new year and its fine for a one night stop on the way to Nam or somewhere else but really the whole place is tired and in need of investment and refreshing.

When we arrived at the manor, although it was late, the landlord still took care of us enthusiastically. The manor was so beautiful and surprising! The landlord reminded us that tomorrow morning, we could see the sunrise from the restaurant facing the rice fields🌅
The next morning, we enjoyed a beautiful sunrise feast, so beautiful and touching!
It was a pity that we had to leave in a hurry. Before departure, the landlord took the initiative to help us find information on motorcycle riding to Laos on the computer, which was very enthusiastic!
Thank you for the landlord's enthusiasm! Thank you for the landlord's blessings! Thank you for the beautiful manor created with care! This is the most beautiful and thoughtful homestay we have stayed in on this trip!
This place is a real gem. Incredible value. Our family of four stayed in a loft room, which was so nice because kids had their own space upstairs while we had some privacy downstairs, without needing to pay for separate rooms. Gorgeous minimalist and industrial-chic aesthetic with exposed brick etc. Crisp, clean white sheets, fluffy duvets and comfy beds. Fabulous bathroom with a proper shower that doesn’t get the floor all wet. Nice windows, beautiful light. Perfect location in the old city and good free bikes to use. Nearby tasty meals in Saturday- and Sunday-night markets. Helpful staff and warm welcome. Good included breakfast and great coffee in a lovely attached cafe. What more could you ask for??
Pros: friendly staff, rooms are clean and renovated, breakfast is nothing special but all wat you need is available for Thai / Falang. Big parking lot on the backside of the hotel. Food in the restaurant is good!. Cons: For the shower when made some renovation think on the safety for the floor its very slippery with the stones that where being used, and the shower room is very small can be a little bigger. Overall a pleasant stay.
We were passing through Phrae during a vacation break. When we saw this beautiful hotel, we thought it would be out of our preferred price range, but were pleasantly surprised that the desk gave us a rate lower than that on their boards. Our room was on the ground floor and opened-up to a well-maintained courtyard and swimming pool. . The rooms are large and comfortable. The breakfast (choice of rice or western) also featured a salad and fruit bar and cereals.
Newly renovated hotel Good, beautiful room, wide You can plug in electricity throughout your stay. This is good, but there is no makeup mirror in the room. Have to use it in the bathroom instead. The water is not very strong. Overall, it is still considered to be in good condition.
The 9 storey Lanna style hotel has been operating for over 30 years. It is located in the center of Phrae city with only 1 km walk to Pratoo Chai night market. Though our room might look old, it was clean and everything functioned properly. Breakfast was in à la carte. We chose American breakfast and fried rice with pork. They were delicious. I think 700 baht/night including breakfast is worth spending. Recommend.
