A very memorable trip. The little brother in the villa was very enthusiastic and gave me a lot of help. He helped me book a longtail boat to Nangyuan Island and also a motorcycle. He took me to find a Chinese instructor in a dive shop. I originally only booked for one night. The scenery is so beautiful. I stayed for an extra day The sea view of p5 will be much better than that of p3, and it will be more expensive. It is worth it

The location is nice and quiet, walking distance to other restaurants through the beach. The beach is very nice, clean and good for kids especially when the tide is low.
Our Cabana was spacious, beautiful, although a bit dark. The water pressure was low and we didn’t have hot water. We asked them to fix it but it didn’t happen on time before our check-out. We stayed for two nights.
The pool has a waterfall, and it looks a little run down. Nice view to the sea from the pool, though.
The breakfast (included) was ok. Fruits, bread, but not many options for vegetarian/vegans in the menu. Dinners were good. Overall, a beautiful hotel, kind staff, great location, maintenance response could be better.
A truly special place occupying an entire beach section of Koh Tao. The most amazing snorkeling right at the resort’s beach- felt so lucky to be able to just wake up and literally step down to the beach and see black tip sharks, TURTLES, and all sorts of huge fish. Truly magical. Restaurant on site is fantastic. Free yoga by amazing teachers. Staff are friendly - feels very much like a family run resort. Had a sea view room- spacious, with a beautiful balcony overlooking the ocean and a sunny reading nook. Would definitely recommend taking 2 or more nights here if you’re in Koh Tao.

Nice pools and swim up bar. Staff are friendly. The room was very big which was great. There were a few maintenance issues but expected as this is an older hotel. The hand held wand in the shower did not work properly as you had to continue to hold the knob out to keep it running, the door to the bathroom did not open properly, and as there were twin beds, individual covers would have been better than one whole cover than barely reached to the edges of the two beds. We have a saying, ”as useless as a glass door in a toilet” ...there was actually a glass door in the toilet which means there is no privacy and no-one else can be in the bathroom. Even frosting on the glass would have been better. USB outlets would have helped. I would recommend a ground floor as there aren't any lifts. Aside from this, the water pressure was good, the air-conditioning was fantastic and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. I would recommend staying in this area as it is close to the pier and shops surrounding the pier and it's quiet. It is cheap to go into the town by taxi and enjoy your time there but come back to the quiet of this area. We liked your staff member called Trip, and we hope that he gets his cat back to the island soon.

So glad I found this place amongst all the overpriced and not so great quality accommodations in Koh Tao. The staffs are friendly and super kind. Walk in rate can be cheaper than booking on OTA but this place is getting more popular hence I would recommend you to book in advance during high seasons. Bike rentals are available right at the hotel for 200 THB per day (same price with most of other rentals in KT, and their bikes are well kept). Their coffee shop has everything with good prices (coffee, coconut juice, smoothies). Food menu look promising and good price, also apply for in-room dining. The place is cover in greenery happy plants. Facilities such as pool is amazing, brand new looking. Public toilet always so clean. Small gym, reading room and a pool table. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here so much. Big room, big toilet with full amenities, comfy bed/pillows, very clean (daily housekeeping do a great job). If you are a diver, this place is so ideal for your stay. Big balcony came with big dry rack to hang all your diving stuffs. My standard room came with a big fridge, dish rack, separate kitchen sink and refill new water bottles on the daily. Location is 10mins walk to Sairee Beach. It's a nice walk down also with many shops (laundry 40thb/kg, supermarket, convenient store, food vendors, bar, hair salon, nails shop, rental diving gears, dive shops, etc. Pick up and drop off at the pier upon check in/out are complimentary. There's a 995 Duck Shop near by and highly recommend. The hotel does not come with an ocean/beach view but you get the most for everything else at a 3-4 stars property value. Plus, it is safe and fully equipped with CCTV. Highly recommend!

The sense of service is obviously weaker than that of Koh Samui, and the breakfast is very haha... Only the first day I had breakfast, but I didn’t eat it for the next few days~ There is a triple room directly, which is more suitable for children. The hotel does not have a beach, but the hotel is just away from the beach. You can walk in 2 minutes~ The second floor is not suitable for children, it is dangerous! My son almost turned it out! Then we locked the balcony door~ Changed to the first floor the next day. The bedside design of the hotel is extremely unreasonable. My child and my child’s grandmother have been recruited one after another, and both knocked their heads. The child cried for half an hour and made a big bag! There is no toothbrush, no comb, you need to bring your own. There is no hot water on the first day, alternate hot water and cold water on the second day, and hot water on the third day. They said that hot water problems often go wrong, after all, it is an older hotel~ Summary: Except for the public area of the hotel, it is almost the same, the room is really not very good~ Check-in time is 2 o'clock, cheak out time is 11:00 in the morning, there is no parking lot.

This hotel is great for people trying to dive. If you're looking for rooms right on the beach then there may be better options, but the rooms that they do have are very good and it feels like you're walking up in the forest.
The staff are very kind, there are a lot of great restaurants (vegetarian friendly) and it's very close to the night parties.
I stayed in the jungle house which is the last set of rooms. They have to call you a golf cart which takes like 2 minutes to get to your room. It's a bit inconvenient, but not a deal breaker. There is a nice infinity pool for every different set of places so it's good and secluded.

Well, when I searched for a room I set the app filter for ac, but filter works even if just one type of rooms in hotel have ac, and photos of different types of rooms presented alltogether.
So I got a room with 2 noisy fans instead of ac, that was peculiar experience and I'm not gonna repeat it 😆
And the most disappointing thing is the absence of fridge, but ok, that's maybe the lesson for me to be more watchful
On average that's a great hotel, beautiful and nice personal and everything

Great little hotel . Spacious well equipped rooms . Clean towels every day . They also provide beach / pool towels . Good location . Pool is lovely although there’s only 4 sun beds which is a pain . Right on the beach . Ideal for watching those amazing sunsets. Only negative is it’s situated right opposite a noisy hostel which bangs out music till 2am every morning . Nothing out ear plugs didn’t solve though so don’t let it put you off . Nice little beach bars along the beach front . Second time we’ve stayed here . We’ll be back . Also don’t miss the morning view restaurant which is at the front of the hotel . Great food at great prices . God I love this island .

That was just a perfect stay in this 5-star hotel. I have stayed in different hotels on Koh Tao, and Koh Tao Regal was the best! For the affordable price we have got a spacious room with a nice balcony with an amazing view to the beach and swimming pool. Though some people say that furniture is a bit old, we did not care. I wish i could stay in this hotel for a month or even longer. The hotel has 3 huge swimming pools! I guess just couple hotels on Koh Tao have swimming pools of that size, because we are on the island, with lack of fresh water! Amazing! And the beach is almost under your balcony. I fell in love with this hotel!

GGuest UserUnfortunately we were very disappointed with our stay here. The location of the hotel is amazing, on the beach along a very busy ***** of restaurants and beach bars which was great. However, the hotel itself was sadly a let down. The hotel keep whistling birds in cages just outside the hotel rooms so expect to be woken at all hours by birds whistling louder than we could believe. The room we were in was very basic to the point where the only plug socket was by the front door, so to dry my hair I had to stand at the front door with no mirror or chair… The shower was a fixed height (very low) so my partner had to be on his knees to wash his hair and I had to bend significantly despite not being very tall. The room was very dark with basically no natural light at all throughout the day. The bedding was just a thick blanket, that I imagine isn’t washed between guests, in between two loose sheets so the blanket kept coming out of the sheets. The toilet was very temperamental and wouldn’t always flush properly. One positive is that the air con was strong however to circulate the air we also had the fan on and this made an annoying screeching noise when it turned to a certain point, which again, woke us up during the night. We didn’t have breakfast because we had a look at what was on offer and decided to go elsewhere as there are lots of nice local places to eat. The staff also weren’t the most pleasant and even got our dates confused when we checked in. Sadly wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserThe service at the Tarna Align resort is impeccable. They keep you in touch via Whatsapp and are incredibly welcoming and helpful. Golf buggies take you anywhere you want to go into Sairee and then bigger vans for the pier. They provide good amenities eg toothpaste. We stayed in a Villa Sea View room which had absolutely stunning views and a great balcony. It was a short trip into Sairee for walks in the day or for night time activities. The only downside was the room. 1. It was incredibly dark with all the lights on at night with no option to have brighter lights on. 2. The bedside table is a small floating shelf next to the bed and sloped downwards so in the night things would fall off onto the floor. 3. The only way to control lighting and air con was by a panel on one side of the bed which meant if one person fell asleep the other person had to try and get out to get to the panel. 4. Beware of the glass door to the toilet- we both walked into it and bruised ourselves as it was so clean and see through. Could benefit from stickers on it to prevent this. 5. The fridge is right behind the bed and very noisy so we had to unplug it at night to sleep

GGuest UserIn total we lived here for 2 weeks
I liked everything very much, except:
- there is cold water in the shower in the evening, on the last day it was just ice cold
- poor internet. If you check the connection speed it tends to zero
- insects. Ants as a given. When it rains a huge number of moths crawl through the bottom of the balcony into the room
- the sound of the refrigerator is disturbing
Overall excellent service, always clean room with fresh towels, beautiful view from the room, comfortable bed and good air conditioning.
I think I'll be back again
GGuest UserThis place is a little rustic but has some real charm. Set in the rocks on the side of the bay, it is a little steep getting up to the restaurant and back down to the rooms but there are plenty of steps about and you soon get used to the short climb. The site may need a little touch up here and there but the views from the restaurant, the quality, value and flavours of the meals available as well as the efficiency, attentiveness and sheer friendliness of the staff makes up for it. We hired a bungalow which was two separate rooms (both with an ensuite) and with a shared balcony. The property also had a gate for privacy. This was ideal for us as a family of 5, although my youngest (10) had to sleep on a mattress on the floor which she wasn't initially impressed with. However, we had views of the bay from the balcony and, generally, the beds were comfortable and the place quiet. Infact, my husband and I slept with our bedroom doors open, as we could see the sea, and were woken by some beautiful sunrises each morning. We then dozed off again until breakfast. The staff were hugely accommodating and bent over backwards for us all. We were able to borrow the kayaks and life jackets to explore the bay and, for a small fee, the team were able to drop us wherever we needed to go on the island. My husband and I did some diving with Roctopus Dive School and my girls did some try dives but it was no-issue for the Taootoh staff to take and collect us from Sairee Beach. The bay has numerous turtles and each time we snorkelled we saw at least one. It was also highly amusing watching visiting tourist boats come to the bay as you could always tell when someone had spotted a turtle as suddenly a sea of orange (from the life jackets) would move around the bay together. The location of Taatoh is great. It's off the main road and away from the rest of the guesthouses/hotels but within walking distance (10 minutes tops) of the beach, bars and seafront. Just around the corner in the opposite direction is Freedom Beach. You pay a small fee to enter but it was worth it. The beach is small and secluded but the bar has many tables to chill at (overlooking the bay) as well as comfy beanbags. There are so many fish in the waters here and we were lucky enough to see some turtles. We absolutely loved it here and are so pleased we chose it over our other choice on the opposite side of the bay. My girls have asked to go back which is always a good sign! PS - They love cats and have quite a few pets, all well cared for and very friendly.
FFashion_PotatoAn incredible resort, delicious breakfasts, super friendly and wonderful staff. The lunches and dinners weren't very expensive but they were so delicious! The rooms we stayed in were small pods with beds and a shared bathroom in the middle, but for being in the middle of a jungle the number of bugs was so low inside the rooms. The beds are soft and they give you free water and coffee every day and have refreshments at very fair prices at reception. Amazing snorkeling - you're at a coral reef already! They rent out snorkels , but it would be better if you brought your own. And it's in Tanote Bay, so you can swim out and jump off the rock all you want! Renting a scooter was very simple and inexpensive. The beach isn't very long and it's a Pebble beach so make sure you wear your sandals. But the island is small and boat tours around the island to other beaches aren't expensive.
SSummershizzleWe originally booked a fan room above the dive shop. When we arrived and realized how hot that was going to be, we asked to be moved to the beach side bungalows with air conditioners. It was well worth the extra price per night. The difference in the bed comfort, the pillows, and the spaciousness of the room and bathroom was pretty dramatic. We had a king bed (two full beds pushed together) and it wasn't as uncomfortable as it sounds. We slept very well each night. The thick curtains completely blocked out most of the light and the air conditioner worked perfectly. We had a fridge and safe in the room and the resort provided 2 bottles of water every day when they cleaned the room. We had a view of the pool and beach. The morning dives leave from the beach right there at the resort making it very convenient to have multiple dives per day. The pricing was reasonable and similar to other resorts in the area, but this place had more of a feeling of camaraderie. We really enjoyed hanging out with the other divers and the employees. The resort is close enough to town to be within walking distance so we went out most every day for shopping/massages/lunch. The restaurant attached to the resort has an extensive menu that is well priced with inexpensive drink specials during happy hour. The pool table is free to use (not the case with other bars in town.) Have Coco make you a margarita and play a game of pool with you (ask him what his favorite shot is.) When it was time for us to leave, the receptionist sat down with us to give us travel tips and places to see for the rest of our time in Thailand. She was very friendly and helpful. We feel like we hit the jackpot with this resort. It had everything we needed, a dive center where I could complete my OW and AOW certifications, restaurant, bar, beach and pool. We will absolutely put this on our list of places to stay in the future when we travel to Thailand again.

GGuest UserThe location is near the end of the beach, so it's a bit of a walk to get to the ”main area”, but the distance is easily walked along the beach. This is also somewhat of a blessing, as it reduces the noise level at night. We stayed in an AC bungalow, which was nice. However, the shower had very poor water pressure, and there are no curtains on the windows, despite the fact that the other bungalows and rooms can look directly in on you... We had to find cardboard to cover them...
They have a restaurant on site, which is priced higher than some of the restaurants in the main area, but *most* of the food is good (not great), and the staff are really nice, so we ate there relatively often (as it was better than walking back and forth to the main area).
Despite some relatively minor annoyances, we'd happily stay there again, depending on the price.

GGuest UserI didn’t have particularly high expectations for this hotel after reading some other reviews which meant I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. Staff were extremely helpful with booking issues and early check in. The room was much bigger than I expected with a fridge, microwave and utensils provided and would be suitable for people wanting to stay long term. Other people seem to have had issues with noise but honestly as someone whose has lived in cities before and went to uni the street noise was barely noticeable. The location is excellent right in the middle of the main streets with the beach, restaurants and bars all on your doorstep.

BBibioNice sunset view from our balcony and also from the terrace which can be used by anyone who stays here.
Be aware it is a steep and narrow way up. If you plan on going around with your scooter and it's your first time on a scooter I wouldn't recommend it. In fact I wouldn't recommend to drive around this island if you're not comfortable on a scooter.
The room was small but nice and cosy with practical amenities, like fridge, kettle and sandwich machine.
The employees are kind and friendly. Room service can be done everyday if you want. They give complimentary water bottles.
