Excellent spacious room with big bed. New and clean. Separate bath tub. AC and water pressure great. Located within walking distance of market, 7-11 and restaurants. Buffet breakfast included . My rating always based on fulfilling expectations and value for money which it certainly did. Booked direct and communication was good.

We stayed at Tangerine Ville hotel for 4 nights while on an organized birding holiday. The lobby was not welcoming - it was hot, humid and very buggy. It was also half filled with items that made me wonder if it was a shop or hotel lobby. What's going on there? Our room was on the 1st floor and had a king bed but the large window (with curtains closed) had only the view of another building mere feet away. The closet had black mildew stains on the walls and the hairdryer was burnt black and did not turn on. The bed was painfully hard and it was difficult to sleep well. The one high pint was the bathroom with a surprisingly nice shower. If not for that I would have rated the room lower. The room AC worked well but the WiFi did not. If you wanted WiFi you needed to go to the hot, humid, buggy lobby - it worked well there. The restaurant, like the lobby, was also hot, humid, and buggy. The food was OK but nothing special. The worst part of our dining experience there was one evening when an entire bus load of teenagers arrived and took part in an extremely loud karaoke evening (complete with microphone and loudspeakers). We were put in an adjoining room off the main dining room but no matter, it was still so loud it was impossible to hear what the person next to you said. Surely, there must be better places to stay in the area.
Phumanee Home Hotel is not a 4/5 star hotel, but it offers an amazing experience. We stayed for two nights and this was the highlight of our 14 day trip to Thailand. We were taken on a bike rider around the temples of Fang and treated to a selection of local dishes for dinner. On the second day we were given a background to the families Lahu village history and then we were taken to the village where we were involved in the preparation of lunch and shown basket weaving. We then picked tea for salad back at the hotel. We also visited the waterfall and the hot springs on the way home. Again in the evening we were treated to a fabulous evening meal. The whole experience was amazing and really interesting as although the village receives visitors its main income is still from the production of tea and coffee so it is largely unspoilt. We will be recommending the hotel to everyone we know.

Stayed here for 5 nights. The entire place, including the beds, is made of concrete. Very modern. The downside to this is that there is zero sound insulation. It is next to a main road. Every passing vehicle clearly heard. And there are bright lights outside the room - & inadequate curtains - so the light shines straight in. The combination of the two makes for dismal sleeping. I attempted to switch off the lights - but they were almost immediately turned on again. In the 5 nights stay not once was the room serviced in any way- noone entered the room to change bedding, towels, clean, add new toilet rolls, toiletries, water, etc. The are almost no facilities- no breakfast, no bar, no restaurant, no anything except a fridge with cold drinks in reception. Not even a bedside lamp. Stay elsewhere.
We stayed at the Dawa while on a road trip through northern Thailand. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city, quiet with ample parking and easy to access. My rooms are clean, well equipped and the value for money is unbeatable! To advice.

DDonna SI stayed here 3 nights in Feb. 2019, on the same tour as another reviewer here. I also stayed on the 3rd floor. There is no mattress provided--the bed consists of two box springs, one on top of the other. Harder than sleeping on a board! I did not know that a mattress pad was available--it would have been nice if someone from Tropical Birding told us that! As it was, my arthritis was inflamed so much by the bed that I was in extreme pain every night. The staff speaks very little English. When I told them that the Internet on the 3rd floor was not working, they either didn't believe me or didn't understand me, probably a bit of both. Finally, someone interpreted for me. When the Internet is working, it is not very good, especially if other people on the floor are using it. It's too bad that this is currently the ”best” hotel in Fang.
Nnan-xutuohuanThe room is clean, sleep comfortably in the room, not muted. Heard it from the front to the back of the hotel. If you want to relax and be quiet, it is not recommended. The sound is quite loud. receptionist Helpful, good service, thank you.
