The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. We had a problem at the reception as they told us first yes and then q yes and then if there was to pay charges from the city. I explained and proved that I had already paid them but they said trip had not paid them for it was me touched to pay them again, which I was a little impressed. On the other hand, the dryers are super old and warm up and shut up at 30 seconds and stop working up to 3 minutes so better carry a dryer.
Nothing bad to say! We opted for the one bedroom pool view apartment and it was lovely, spacious and well equipped! The room and bathroom was clean with a lovely waterfall type shower. Bed did the job for 3 nights. Pool was clean and non heated as expected from reading previous reviews. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!
The location of the hotel is just above the bus terminal in Porto. It is an old town. The hotel room can also have a good breakfast. There is a gym and a swimming pool upstairs. Although it is very small, you can use Uber for a cheaper trip. There is a supermarket on the opposite side of the road. ,very convenient.

we where 20 friends that stayed here for 5 nights what a wonderful hotel and the staff is just amazing. Everyone went out of their way to help us to prepare for us roof top party one evening and a buffet dinner down stairs in the reception/ breakfast area the last evening in Porto. The rooms are fantastic on the small side but you have everything you need , its chick and modern and nice for a city break. The bar in the roof top is just amazing just dial 001 and you get what you want. The bar downstairs amazing . Its easy to go everywhere around Porto from this hotel. What make this hotel is again the staff I dont name names because they are all wonderful and so happy to work there. The breakfast is nice and you get all what you need . You can tell that the staff who work there make this hotel happy. Happy Staff - Happy hotel. Best wishes from all of us from Norway this was the best hotel stay in our 19 days trip in Portugal and we will come back
Lovely stay in elegant Portuguese guesthouses with lots of character. Extremely friendly staff, particularly Fatima and Jessica who saw to our every need, nothing too much bother. They provided a birthday surprise for me on last day in Porto - cake and port, which was a very nice touch.
We stayed two nights in this hotel. The style is retro, but with touches of modernity, I found it aestheticly nice. As the lift is not a little uncomfortable for the baggage. The staff were very friendly and friendly 😀 The triple room was quite date and not very spacious. The air conditioner was a little complicated to light (the remote control had no batteries compartment. The batteries were kept with scotch 😅). The small but functional bathroom. The washing machine was lost and I personally had difficulty washing because the spoon shower sets consist of 10ml bags each.... You should buy a spoon shower. I found it very good! There were traditional and handicrafted sweets, not the usual packed things. And always supplied. We personally did not enjoy their parking because on the front road, even 100 metres I believe, we found non-payment parking. I see many free parkings in the area 😁 as others say is very comfortable with the metro stop.
You'll be centrally located in Porto with a stay at Solar da Avenida, within a 15-minute walk of Porto Cathedral and Dom Luis I Bridge. This apartment is 1 mi (1.6 km) from Porto City Hall and 1.3 mi (2.1 km) from Ribeira Square.

First floor unit. Smells of mildew/mold, including the bed sheets. spiders in the corners of the bedroom and a noticeable gnat problem. Bedroom lights also don’t work, It’s a shame because the staff seems so nice! They were the sweetest people, and were willing to accommodate extra people! just the first floor rooms need moisture and pest solutions. The WiFi also cuts off if you try to access it from the bedroom.

Outstanding
Lovely hotel 🏨, not in the centre of Porto but a short walk from the hotel 🏨, will lead you to the metro marques which will take you to the centre of Porto 2 euros 💶 to sao bento , the hotel is clean friendly and welcoming, staff very accommodating, breakfast very good continental or cooked , Michael, Dina lovely restaurant staff , the only thing I would say is evening meal is a set menu for each day of the week , the food is good but if you want more choice round the corner is a nice restaurant, overall we were very pleased with our stay at this hotel , we would have no hesitation in returning, by the way our room was top notch big comfy bed 🛌 with everything we needed , thankyou for a memorable weeks vacation, Mr Robin Wilson & liyang .
WwangryThe hotel is very close to the train station and a few minutes walk away. Since I brought my child, I made up some fees at the front desk and upgraded to a family room (the child has a separate single bed). The room is very large, there are two small balconies, the facilities are very new, clean, the service is very good, check-in and check-out are very fast. A little distance from the attraction, but walking all the way to see, will not feel very tired.
MMatthew LA clean, modern and friendly hotel in a great location, great breakfast too! I will book again, for visits as my daughter lives in Porto. It was nice and quiet when we stayed and great for escaping the hustle and bustle of Porto. The manager also regularly checked in with us as to how our stay was.
AAnonymous UserThe whole city is relatively old, and the modern hotel is more prominent. It is relatively close to the train station, and it takes 12 minutes to walk. There are not many restaurants around, and there is a pizzeria next to it that tastes good. Overall, Portugal has the lowest consumption in Western Europe.
GGuest UserMe and my family are planning a holiday to Algarve, but as direct flights don’t run everyday to Faro, we decided to make a 3-day short trip at Porto before heading to Algarve. We saw Almada Domus on Expedia and decided to stay there as the photos look pretty and it describes its location as very central to all tourists attractions in Porto. Unfortunately, after we made the booking we realised that the hotel is actually located some blocks away from the main streets and requires a short climb uphill to get to, which will be a challenge for my husband who suffers from recurring Achilles tendinitis that makes walking difficult and would require walking aides. On the same day, within 2 hours after making our booking, I emailed the hotel to enquire about cancellation. I explained to Fabio (which I assume is the manager/ owner of the hotel) about my situation and at that time he seemed to be willing to accommodate my request but advised me to contact Expedia directly. I then spoke with Expedia and was told that they can do a free cancellation upon confirming with the hotel that they’re ok with it. Over 20 emails back and forth with the hotel since last evening, and this morning Fabio abruptly changed his tone and said he will not allow a free cancellation and we will have to pay a 50% penalty, as the booking is now “outside the 2-hour cancellation window”, and it would be “unfair to other guests” (even though I did contact the hotel about cancelling within 2 hours after making my booking, hoping to minimise the impact on their business). I was also told by Fabio that “Porto is a hilly city like Lisbon, which are not friendly for people with walking difficulties” and said but we can Uber everywhere…. I was very shocked with his last comments and obviously disappointed that he was unwilling to help even though he said he would at the beginning when I first contacted.
GGuest UserThis place is actually an old motel that has clearly gone bankrupt and still tries to get naive customers to a trap. It smells of mold, there is no shower ( just a broken whirlpool ), there is no maintenance and the staff is clearly unwilling to look after the guests. To make it worse - if possible - they tried to cheat Booking pretending I was not there ( although I have my credit cards statements to prove ) just not to pay their commission. When I wrote this on the Booking review the owner was extremely impolite and aggressive , as his plote was denounced. Honestly, it makes no sense staying there even if it was for free. Run away from this joint!!
