1. Lack of comfortable seats at lobby. Used to have sofas, which replaced with wooden chairs now and it's limited. If the policies dont allow customer to check in earlier then please provide more seats for customers to wait. Because alot of customer waiting for check in, we have to sit at dining area to wait for check in and it's hot inside.
2. Lobby are surrounded by glasses, expected it would be hotter. The current Air cond system at lobby can't provide a comfortable environment. It's quite warm inside.
3. Some Ushers at lobby appears less friendly.
4. Room cleanliness are acceptable.
5. Wifi from room not stable. Need to reconnect few times during movie time
6. Shower gels are limited.
7. Breakfast:
-rice noodles are acceptable.
-dishes are bit salty.
-suggest to provide more varieties ie: croissant, nasi lemak, potatos.
8. Our room coridor door can't be locked.

I stayed here for four nights and I could easily have stayed longer. This place feels like a piece of heaven. I had a beautiful simple cabin with a stunning view. Every night I could hear animals crawling and scrambling on the roof. It was really a unique experience! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially Sila. The restaurant had some nice food for a decent price and breakfast was good. Not a lot, but sufficient. There was always coffee and tea for free and they kept my snacks for free in their fridge during my stay so the animals could not smell it in my cabin. Their shuttle service was very good. It was easy to communicate with the driver if I was going to need his service when I was out exploring. And If I wanted to go elsewhere I was always told the price beforehand. I went on almost all of their excursions and can recommend all of them. If you’re looking for a relaxing cabin in the middle of nature this is the perfect place. I cannot recommend it enough.

The deco is absolutely stunning. Pretty, can't deny this. Kids were happy to see the hello kitty theme, small size couch for the kids to sit. Downside is the amenities for this accommodation is poorly maintained. Front door can't close, owner ask us to just lock gate don't close front door or door will not able to be open from inside (?!), balcony look dangerous for children, so many sure not to let any kids go there. Lucky just book the place for a night, else will be worry for safely. Pic included where door required to stay open whole day/night to avoid locked in. Lol.

One of the cleanest rooms with basic facilities in Sandakan. Easy access to major areas and facilities. No breakfast or meals, but there are restaurants and plenty of watering holes just right next to the hotel. The neighboring spa and massage centre is another major plus... and extremely affordable and so relaxing after a hot and physical day trekking outside. I even rented a car for the day, pick up and return right at the lobby.

We lived in a fresh clean apartment with 3 bedrooms. Each one has air conditioning, as well as in the kitchen-living room. The apartment also has 2 bathrooms.
We checked in without any problems, the owner is very responsive.
The condominium comes with a parking space. Very convenient.
The condominium has its own pool with very comfortable water for children. Ours did not get out of there for 2 hours.
Location. 20 minutes by rented car to Sepilok. 50 minutes to Labuk bay. With a rented car, the location is excellent. I don’t know if it would be better to travel in another way.

On the whole, we enjoyed the hospitality at Sandakan Inn and we had a wonderful experience of staying there. Location is good, the staff is courteous, the facilities were awesome. I would definitely recommend Sandakan Inn as it is a great place for guests to relax and enjoy themselves.

This was our 12th stay at Marks Lodge and the hotel is a decent hotel in Bandar Indah. Staff are attentive and pleasant. Hotel rooms are decent and clean but the TV channels are in need of upgrading as you can barely watch anything as the channel selection is horrible. We also as part of our group had left a letter asking for a sponsorship for an event we were participating in given we had stayed at the hotel but never heard back from the management. On that basis, and the lack of care in replying, we decided to give the hotel a 1 star.

The room was consistent with other hotels in this price range. It's a local area with many small restaurants located nearby.
The room was clean and spacious and the water was hot. Shower was nice. They left us 2 bottles of water as well.

KksaintghislainWe arrived in the middle of the night (1-2 AM) by bus, walked 50 meter, were helped immediately and after a good shower were sleeping about 40min after we arrived with the bus. This is the kind of service you only dream of when you get somewhere at that time. Clean, good beds, great AC and the service was great. Would recommend if you arrive in the middle of the night, or have to depart really early. Nothing to see in the vicinity, so in case you're not going to Sandakan / Sepilok immediately this is a good option.

OoulundThis hotel is quite run down and you will see that everywere but what can you expect at the low rate. English is only spoken by the night man in reception and he is very nice. As the center of Sandakan is quite small location does not matter much as long as you are in the centre. Stayed for 3 days and they did not clean the room in that time. Poor wi-fi if you were not standing right under the router. All in a good value.

You can watch the turtles in the water, we also watched the release of the small turtles, and watched the turtles nest at night! The house we live in is a combination of water and beach, lucky house number four! ! You can have a panoramic view of all the beauty of the island! ! Awesome! ! ! Highly recommended! ! !
Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC)
霍霍华峰You can take Air Asia to Sandakan. It only takes one hour from Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan. The cheapest air ticket is only a few dozen yuan. It only costs 60 to 70 yuan to take a grab taxi from downtown Sandakan to Sepilok. This is a real tropical rainforest. The scenic area has built a bridge and a bird-watching tower. The rainforest for tourists to visit is only a small part of the area. The deep rainforest is outside the scenic area and cannot be entered. The ticket price is 20 Malaysian ringgits for adults and 10 Malaysian ringgits for children. If you enter the scenic area early in the morning, there will be no one to check the ticket and go in directly. You must take a night walk. You can make an appointment for a night walk at the ticket office. It costs 30 Malaysian ringgits for adults and 15 Malaysian ringgits for children. There will be a guide to lead you to walk in the rainforest at night for two hours, holding professional night lighting equipment to find nocturnal animals and insects. We were fortunate to see beautiful sleeping birds, insects, spiders, nocturnal monkeys, bamboo leaf green snakes... During the day, you can also see monkeys, eagles, and various beautiful flying birds. It is best to use a professional camera with a telephoto focus to take pictures of the flying birds. The naked eye cannot see them clearly. There are few and expensive accommodations within one kilometer of the rainforest, so you should book them in advance and book them for a few days to prevent heavy rain and the night adventure from being cancelled due to bad weather, which will leave you with regrets!

多多多I almost deleted the Yamatogan Memorial Park from my travel plan, and I am glad I didn't. The Yamatogan Memorial Park is a lovely and cool oasis with a very good view. The park was built to commemorate the inhabitants of Australia, Britain, New Zealand and Sandakan, who endured three years of Japanese brutal occupation during World War II. The information is very rich, many stories are very moving, here you can see many real events of history and the stories left by the six prisoners of war who survived the concentration camp. The Sandakan Memorial Park is well worth a visit.
