The Maradiva is a unique resort which welcomes you with its warm caring staff, tranquility & calm. It is set in beautifully landscaped gardens, with an award winning spa & stunning beach views over to Le Morne. In our opinion it is one of the best locations on the island with spectacular sunsets. For total relaxation, peace and quiet, for a romantic getaway, a total switch off & battery recharge, it would be hard to beat. Nothing is too much trouble, the team work tirelessly to ensure every guest enjoys their stay. Each villa is assigned a butler to manage any issues, book restaurants and coordinate any special requests. Our butler, Kanen, did an excellent job. The staff make this resort special. Particular mentions to Babita & her team in housekeeping, to Gavin, Pritila, Elodie, Sharonne, Zainab, Dirun & Nashvik in the restaurants, Zidane, Veen & Kay on beach service and to Rishi, Rudi & team in In Villa dining. Our only issue during this stay was the amount of leaves on the beach, which spoiled its appearance. Whilst it’s lovely to have the trees shading areas of the beach at this time of year additional effort is needed to clear them. Note to future guests, the lagoon around the resort is shallow & water shoes are recommended to avoid any injuries from loose coral deposits when going into the ocean.
