I originally booked this hotel for the convenience of going to Mount Aso, but I didn't realize that the volcano had been closed for some time.
This hotel is located in a far outskirts, but the facilities are very good and the environment is beautiful. When we arrived, the owner was very enthusiastic and explained. We didn't understand Japanese, so he translated to us on the phone. The hot spring is in another room, and there were not many guests that night. Our family could enjoy one hot spring room, and everyone was very satisfied. The room is large, with one bed per person and complete facilities.
The breakfast the next day was Western-style and very rich. The bakery owner who couldn't finish it packed it for us and took it away. No food was wasted. Very good service.
There is also an astronomical telescope on the grassland. Unfortunately, it was very cloudy that night, so there was no chance to see the stars. No wonder the hotel has ”Galaxy” as its name. I think you can see the Milky Way in the sky when the weather is good. I hope to have the opportunity to come back next time.
Fortunately, Mount Aso suddenly opened again after checking out, and we actually saw the volcano!

I like the hideaway atmosphere of the standard Western-style room, but this time I made a last-minute reservation, so there were no rooms with a good view available, so I booked a Deluxe Western-style room for the first time. As far as I could find this room, there was no introduction image, so I was excited until the day to see what it would be like. When I was guided, it was the farthest corner room from the front desk, and the hotel said it was the room with the best view. It was certainly a wonderful view that overlooked the grassland far away. The area is slightly larger than the standard room, but there are no steps and the ceiling is high overall, so there is a sense of openness. The window was also a large sweep window, and there was a cute small window unique to the corner room. There is a large public bath, so I didn't use it, but the bathtub in the room is much larger than the standard one, and it might be good for children to play in the pool. This time as well, I enjoyed coffee while listening to the chirping of wild birds, ate delicious bread, and enjoyed the starry sky.
I used to use it every 1-2 months, but this time I visited again for the first time in more than 10 years. There are improvements such as washing toilets and wifi, but there is no way to hide the aging deterioration of a quarter-century building. In particular, the firmness of the bedding and restaurant chairs is not friendly to the elderly. I used to have a good impression of the open-air bath, but it was disappointing that there were quite a few visitors from the attached campsite, and it was noisy with children swimming and diving. Dinner was a kaiseki meal, but since almost all the dishes were served at once, some were cold, so it was a rush.

Kuju Flower Park
1137***66During the summer vacation, I went to Kyushu to play. I didn't expect there to be such a beautiful flower field near Oita. When I visited in August, the sun flowers in the park were in full bloom, like a whole sea of sun flowers. There is a large parking lot outdoors, which is convenient for self-driving tourists. Local shops sell a variety of handwritten letters, recommending giant jacquard. In addition, it is recommended that visitors can check the information of flower fields on the official website to understand the degree of flowering of various flowers.
Ameushino Falls
1137***66While driving, you will see some yellow signs, such as the Yellow Yu Falls. When you park your car in the parking lot and start walking, you will find a cabin. Someone has declared that you should use a cane because your feet are dangerous. If you walk along the signboard on the promenade, you will first see a dirt road, while if you go down to Kawara, you will follow the rock and stone road. There is a small waterfall on the way, you can cross the stone by the river, so your feet are slippery. Along the way, the view suddenly opens, a lot of water sound and a vibrant waterfall emerges. That power. There is a world completely unknown. It takes a long time to reach the waterfall. Your feet are dangerous and depending on time, animals and snakes may appear, so you may enjoy exploring. I go alone but no one else. If possible, it may be safe if more than one person falls. This space is only I can feel naturally.
Mt. Kuzumi
Lliebe_powerspotPark your car and enjoy the magnificent scenery. Nearby is a very large swing that suddenly appears named "World's Biggest Swing". It's fun to enjoy the scenery and go back to the hot springs.
Taketa Spring Group
1137***66[View] There are spring water everywhere in Takeda City, and most places can take home, so we recommend you bring a plastic bottle. [Fun] In many hot springs, the situation in Takeda City is different. Not springs from feet or rocky areas, but a string of water drawn from waterfalls that spew out from the middle of the rocky area due to the stair difference in the welded tuff formation. From the county road cross the Ogata River (Ilita River), cross the bridge to the left bank, then enter the sign from the regional road and thin dark sidewalk, 3 to 4 minutes from the Bird's Gate. From the arced wall behind the Cedar Forest, you reach the spring water that draws the rope. But there is no place to get water, it is difficult to drink. People in the area have only one drinking water pipe. Well, is the sound of the waterfall called Kodashi Narutaki? But there is no sound of the waterfall. I don't understand the spring water.
水の駅おづる
__.k0rea._I stopped by on the way to the Otoike Springs. You can get water for free, so it is recommended to bring an empty water bottle or PET bottle. There are also tofu shops and shops nearby. Soy milk soft serve ice cream that you can buy at a tofu shop is large and soft and delicious.
