I loved staying at this beautiful place in the rolling hills and vineyards. Gorgeous, historic building and grounds. Room very comfortable and clean. Good breakfast with good variety. Super nice staff! Helped so well with dinner reservations in the area and all other questions. My two nights only was really too short! Highly recommended!

Sono appena stata ad Ariotto Village con le amiche per un addio al nubilato, che dire se non che ci hanno coccolato per due giorni!! Personale super gentile e simpatico, ci hanno fatto sentire a casa per tutto il weekend!! Hanno le biciclette da noleggiare per chi vuole fare un bel giro panoramico nei dintorni e hanno due piscine molto belle per un po' di relax! Due giorni stupendi 🥰🥰 Il cibo è buonissimo, piatti della tradizione ma dal sapore divino quindi complimenti allo chef! Il vitello tonnato più buono che abbia mai mangiato, risotto e gnocchi buonissimi! La ragazza che prepara i cocktail credo sia la più brava che abbia mai conosciuto, tolto la simpatia il suo margarita è il più buono di tutta la provincia!! Ci tornerò sicuro in altre occasioni, grazie ancora a tutto lo staff!!!!

The hotel is located outside of Alessandria, so you need to travel by car to reach it. And it offers lots of parking space. It's ranked as a 4-star hotel, but feels more like a 3-star. The rooms are wide and spacious, the bathroom too. The view from the room is on the parking lot, and you can't open the window because there are too many mosquitoes in the area. We stayed at the hotel for two nights. At the first night it was full with some group of tourists, so the wi-fi internet didn't work at all, because of the overload, and the receptionist didn't offer any solution. At the second night there was a football team that occupied the hotel, and you could hear them roar all evening/night long... The breakfast was good, but the waiter in the breakfast hall didn't help or do anything for the guests that didn't speak Italian. So you had to make yourself your own cup of coffee... Also, the staff at the reception was very very very nice. BUT when I asked them if they could put something little in my parents' room (because my father had a birthday at the second day we stayed there), they agreed, and offered to put a cake. Which they did, and even added to that a bottle of champagne. It was a very nice surprise for my father, when we got back to the room at the evening. BUT they have charged us for that 50 euros (!!). Which was very UNFAIR, because in NO POINT of the conversation with them, they haven't mentioned that the cake or any kind of ”a little surprise” will cost me money, or HOW MUCH money it may cost. They could have added how many items they've wanted and I would have to be obliged to pay... Which is very unfair and dishonest.

The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and is very comfortable. Breakfast at the bar below where you have a wide selection of centrifuges and fruit, brioches, cakes and salad sandwiches or breads made up at the moment.

My room was small but very clean. The bed was so large that unfortunately one could open the door to the small street balcony only a column. However, I felt very well. Small box, small refrigerator, good bed of big TV wall, as usual in Italy ... The bathroom is even smaller, windowless. Unfortunately, the shower wall of the small shower ( about 60 x 55) is not close, so you have inadvertently wet feet and a wet floor mat. Whoever uses the bidet is somewhat sleevey for me, unless it is twisted. The breakfast was coronally small but very friendly. Good price-performance ratio. Near the city centre, the cleanness of the room and the friendliness of the staff make a few shortcomings. I'm happy to come back. Beside the hotel there are all possible shops and good restaurants are near. You must see everything now from the point of view that I entered on the first day of the border opening.

Ho soggiornato varie volte tra luglio e settembre 2022 nel ”Matitone”. L' hotel e' un po' datato ma ha tutti i confort e pulizia per un ottimo soggiorno. Unico neo l' impossibilita' di regolare autonomamente l' aria in camera. Per il resto, la colazione e' molto ricca, pulizia accurata, ha una piscina molto bella e personale molto disponibile, in primis la spumeggiante responsabile Elma. What else ?!?

Indeed not a real 4-star hotel, but our ”Classic suite” was big and we like the excellent aircondition which was a great help at these hot days. Negative were the view outside of the room into a burned down old roof....Breakfast surprising positive, if you are there at time. Once we came 40minutes before ending and a lot of food were not available anymore. Reception people were friendly and efficient. Parking is only to use for small cars. Yet, the is a bigger parking slot ”Piazza Carlucci” very close to the hotel; I like the mail information in advance. Excellent location to walk around the town. A little bit more than average but also not ”very good” - good would be the right review. Silent place that was the most positive because no full street!

Renewed and super comfortable room. Hard mattress and soft couchs not too high, the TOP. Great and well-heated bathroom. Sorry for breakfast, a little miserable, but on request they prepare expressly. Most gentle girls. Equitable price. Comfortable free parking right in front
