The hotel is in a good location by Lake Como, with convenient transportation. The lake view room has a view of the lake and mountains. The environment is good and the scenery is pleasant. The room is relatively large, clean and tidy. Suitable for vacation

I stayed at Avenue for one night at the end of a business trip. Como is only a 45 minute drive to Malpensa airport. I was a bit hesitant based on some reviews, but I can say that the hotel was fantastic! Room was super clean, and even had its own terrazzo to relax on. Room was on the small side, but very normal for Italy. Bathroom was clean and spacious. I don’t know where people had issues with noise, but my room was totally quiet the entire time. Only issue was that the safe wouldn’t open after I locked it. The staff came up immediately, and took some time to sort it out, but they got it done. They were incredibly nice (and apologetic, which wasn’t necessary). Ate dinner at the pizza shop around the corner that shared the patio right in front of the hotel. Food was great, and super convenient. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Vista Palazza Como provided us with a most wonderful stay in Como, with fabulous views of Lake Como and the piazza below, with skaters enjoying the ice skating rink. Advice from the Vista staff enthusiastically suggested restaurants and must see sights during our 3 day stay. Alberto, our personal butler, designed a full day trip where he took us with our driver Christian, through the countryside along the east side of the lake, visiting several villages and Alberto’s local coffee shop, Gelateria Costantin at Mandello del Lario. We later transferred to a timber launch, enjoying a picnic lunch onboard with a drop of Nebbilio. The return trip on the lake afforded us views of many villas in the perfect sunny mid winter weather. A day trip the next day took us by train to Switzerland for lunch in Lugarno. Each day we enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast before setting off on our adventures.

The location of the hotel is OK, very close to Lake Como, right on the commercial street. There are supermarkets, McDonald's restaurants nearby, and the hotel also has its own breakfast. However, the breakfast is a bit worse than other three-stars, but the price includes breakfast and it is very good. The heating in the hotel is not warm, it is recommended to ask the front desk for a quilt if it is cold. If there is no breakfast in the room, don’t spend 10 Euros per person for breakfast in the hotel. It is better to go directly to the nearby McDonald’s or have breakfast at the bar. It’s about 5 Euros for two people. If you drive to the hotel, it is recommended to call in advance and set the location of the hotel. There are not too many cars in the yard at the entrance of the hotel. 15 euros a day for parking

Highly recommend DO NOT BOOK that horrible hotel! There are much better accommodations around. 03.09- 04.09 Me & my boyfriend paid 230 euros for one night's stay in that hotel (COMO) The receptionist (Cristian) said the policy of the hotel obliges us to pay the whole amount for accommodation while check-in. So we did. I paid the whole amount in cash. The next day 04.09 hotel charged me again the same whole price for my stay by using my card details. I called reception, and Claudia told me that she will call me back, but she never did, she left home without telling any colleagues about my problem. I called reception again the next day and Claudia when she heard that it's me she said that I have to wait for an answer. I asked her how long because I need my money and I want to know when will I have it back, but she dropped the phone! DROPPED THE PHONE! So I don't even know what to do, it is super humiliating to face such an attitude, should I bag the hotel to get my money back?! They do not reply to the emails, do not call me back, or hang the phone if I call. I don't want to go to the police, but what else can I do?! The hotel in Como and the hotel in Milan have two different owners, so even in Milan, they said that they can not do anything to help me. It's the first time in all my travel experience I face such rudeness and unprofessionalism. Apart from that, we did the checkout at 11.15, so we were 15 min late. The receptionist (Claudia) charged us 15 euros (1 euro per minute) for the late checkout. More of that, she insisted that I should pay as well for the late checkout for the other guests, that Im not related to! Because we booked our rooms at the same time for her it means that we are friends and I will pay for them as well! I couldn't do anything since she had my card, I was obliged to pay. The other guests, paid for their rooms separately, with another card, but Claudia still charged me those 40 euro! That is unacceptable! I was very mad, so I told Claudia the trough ”That is the worst hotel I had ever stayed” and Claudia replied, ”YOU ARE THE WORST CUSTOMER EVER”. Apart from all that, the rooms are very poor, the view is horrible! For many years there are the construction works in front, so that will be the view from your balcony! The walls are so thin that you can literally hear all the conversations of the other guests. The hotel is easily accessible by bus No. 1 or No. 6 to Como COMO S. Giovanni train station, and the bus stop turns right at the hotel entrance. Crossing the street opposite the hotel is the Old Town Gate. It takes 15 minutes to get to the lakeside ferry ticket office and pass 2 famous churches.

Location is perfect In the main square after a 5 min walk from rail station (incoming from Milan). This lovely en-suite room is perfect for a few days. Yaiza our host was amazing, and so helpful with top tips on things to do, how to get there … even giving us the bus number and location as to where to get on, and of course restaurant recommendations. Only a small point, that the mattress was a bit soft for our liking and could have had extra pillows for bed. Would highly recommend:)
