Best Hvolsvollur Hotels

Independent cottage, simple and practical, with a kitchen and basic utensils. The best thing is the environment. As soon as you come out, you will see the snow, the snow-capped mountains in the distance, and the twelve houses of the entire hotel standing on the plain. It feels great. The location is also good, on the way from the Golden Circle to Vic. Remember, you must prepare the ingredients for dinner and breakfast when you check in.

Room is 1/4 of a big cottage. It is enough spacious and the desk is large enough. Hair drier is good and can make strong wind. Shampoo, glass kettle are provided. Breakfast is excellent and has wide varieties. Food are hot. Aurora can be seen outside of the cottage.

Not bad, the location is convenient, the room is not big, but it is very clean and tidy, the service staff is also very good, there are also not far from the place, there are some small shops to buy food, in short, this city is also a satisfactory over-type hotel , have the opportunity to come back to stay

We stayed in a little hut which was very cosy and warm even though it was quite cold outside. The hut was equipped with hot water, stove, water boiler and cutlery. Unfortunately no oven but that was totally fine. The location was perfect: a few minutes drive outside Hvollsvollür. Would totally stay there again ＜3

It was past 8 when I arrived at the hotel that night, the restaurant was closed, and the waiter took out a simple map and patiently explained the location of the nearby restaurant. Breakfast is buffet style, richer than expected and very satisfying. The hotel layout is very chic, many hiccups. There is free parking space, convenient location, only 5 minutes away from the lava exhibition hall Lava Centre .

Very close to the Seri Yalan Waterfall, about ten minutes drive. We stayed here on the return trip. The room was a bit cold at night. The flour outside at sunrise in the morning was very good. Breakfast was basic.

💯💯💯 recommend Lindartun Guesthouse! Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2024 after our drive to Highlands and got here when it was already dark but i loved the drive to the junction from the main road to the guesthouse. It was pretty dark around the area which we thought we could be lucky for aurora sightings but it was cloudy. Luckily, I asked the owner when was the last aurora sighting at the guesthouse and she immediately opened her laptop and that’s when I found put there’s aurora forecast website in Iceland. She was the one that let us know there’s higher chance to spot aurora on the upcoming friday due to clear sky. Oh btw, for our check-in process, when I first arrived and entered the guesthouse, please take off your shoes by the entrance, and go to reception area infront of the kitchen and take the house phone to call the owner. We booked room no. 5 which cones with a sofa bed and the long toom was so cute and cozy. This is the cutest guesthouse room design among all 13 accoms across the country during our trip. I really loved it a lot as the room was long and spacious. The common dining area was really nice and big which I didn’t really spend time here. But I used the kitchen the next morning to boil hot water and make myself my hot chocolate and instant mushroom soup. Worth my money. Will book again if I visit Iceland again next time! Still very good, friends are very happy to live together, the location is on the way to Reykjavik to Vic. Close to a big waterfall. Skoga Falls or Sriyalan Falls can't remember.
