I checked in with my friend at 7:30 in the evening. I didn't find the front desk. I was in contact with Ctrip. The processing speed was very fast. I quickly contacted the store, but we were surprised that the store was in the distance. Seeing us, like two fools standing next to the cabin outside the 500M, it was raining, blowing the wind, did not want to come over and tell us where to check in, personally feel that the service is general, only when selling breakfast A little warm. The front desk gave the nearest cabin, but the luggage was really exhausted. It took about three minutes to get out of the parking lot. However, the house was on a hillside and the luggage was not tiring. The cabin is good, the heating is also very good, but the bathroom sewer is a bit stinky, and the bathroom has to be closed to sleep at night, but when the door is opened in the morning, the taste is very smoked. I want to ride a horse, but I don't have time, so I give up. In general, I feel that I feel good.
The cabin is located in a field, and the navigation is only 100 meters away. When we arrived, it was almost midnight, and it was difficult to find the entrance. The parking lot is just over 10 meters away, and all the connections are gravel roads. It was the first time to book a hotel with shared bathrooms, and the shared bathrooms felt very clean. The key was placed on the table of common facilities, where I washed up first, and then found our cabin No. 10 according to the map there. There are a total of 12 cabins. There are curtains in the cabins, but not enough to surround a circle. The roof is transparent, which is convenient for watching the stars and the aurora. There is enough heating and electric fans in the room. There are eye masks and earplugs at the head of the bed, but I don’t need them at all. When I woke up in the morning, the sun was shining, but I was not woken up by the sun. It is recommended to stay for one night in the season of the aurora!

We arrived at the rented room and it was dismantled, used by the previous people who stayed there. It was getting dark and it was cold and we waited for 1 hour trying to locate the owners who did not answer the phone (with the cost of calls that entails) finally we had to call Booking. After 1 hour a woman showed up there saying that they were offering us another room, we agreed with her that we no longer wanted to be there after the long wait and we lost an excursion we had due to this issue and we agreed to a refund. As it was by word of mouth, the words went with the wind and they charged us for the accommodation. A real shame to arrive at a place where check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and arrive at 6:30 p.m. and the room is not ready and you have to be calling on the phone and they don't even show signs of life. On top of the incident it seemed that we had to apologize to them. I do not recommend at all.
When we booked Kansarlinn we were a bit apprehensive if we had made the right choice but for our given dates there was little affordable in the neighborhood. What a pleasant surprise we were in for! The unpretentious road-side white hotel with its adjacent same-name restaurant proved to be one of our best accommodation experiences in island. Will start by saying how wonderful the people are, the owner ( a country music lover!) and all of the staff at the restaurant, wonderful people,. The hotel itself is quiet, clean, modern inside, the room was large, comfortable for 3 people, value-for-money for sure. Only thing that we did not like /could be improved is the size of the beds that are tiny in width! What is this with single Icelandic beds to be hardly 60 cm wide??! I had not fallen off my bed since I was 4, nearly did here. Note that the double is two teeny singles put together. Also the view could have been been a bit better but is part of the deal of a roadside hotel/inn... The adjacent restaurant was great, we enjoyed a fabulous local fish and chips dinner with some local draft beer under the sounds of some good country music for a very competitive price! The breakfast, served in the restaurant was equally fabulous, filled us to the max with both hot and cold offerings and great coffee. Highly recommended, hotel and restaurant alike!

Apart from a greenhouse and some geothermal equipment, this is a hotel in the middle of nowhere. The upstairs dining room has a magnificent view in all directions, and a glass fenced balcony. Although excessively bare, the rooms are not bad.The bed is fairly firm, though rather spoiled by a soft- top mattress and the usual lack of upper sheet. The curtains are opaque , but need a lot of work to be made to fit adequately for blackout. There is no bath ( even in a place of such plentiful water), but at least there is an actual full enclosure for the shower, and a meagre but usable basin. Both breakfast and dinner were good- beware the premature breakfast clearing, though!
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Stayed 2 nights for my birthday. When we got to room, there was a complimentary bottle of wine and a nice note, very nice surprise! Room was big and hotel very clean. The breakfast was delicious, a lot of choices, and the best we had during our 8 days in Iceland. Dinner was excellent, expensive but worth the splurge. Mushroom soup was good. I had the beef filet and my husband had the lamb, both were excellent, cooked perfect. Waiter surprised me with a dessert for my birthday, they definitely made me feel special! Like the northern lights wake up call option. Was hoping to see the Northern lights but it was bad weather so didn’t see them. It is expensive but worth it. We would definitely stay here again.

JJoyce_DxApart from a greenhouse and some geothermal equipment, this is a hotel in the middle of nowhere. The upstairs dining room has a magnificent view in all directions, and a glass fenced balcony. GGuest UserParents- read this to protect your children! Our travel agent booked this hotel. After doing some research, I discovered that it has 4 out of 5 stars (which is exactly what the owner states on their TV station that is played in a continuous loop in the rooms-odd). I was hoping that 4 stars wasn't correct. After staying there, I discovered that it should be 2-3 star hotel. I give it 3 for the following positives: It was clean, there's plenty of parking, and it's easy to find. The ”garden” area is more like a patio area. There's a few tables and chairs and a make-shift basketball court. Also, the breakfast is great. There is a lot of selection:fruit, breads, eggs, bacon, waffles, and more. The negatives: The hotel boasts about having hot tubs and saunas. This is true, however, one of the hot tubs in the garden is not hot at all. It's cooler than bath water. Also, the employees aren't overly friendly. They aren't rude, but they definitely don't have a ”welcome” sort of attitude. The food at the restaurant was over-priced and not good. (I had the steak and paid $50 for it. It was not very hot and very tough.) The hotel is very large and there are a lot of people staying. (Think your bus loads of people). Here's the part for parents: take caution! The showers change temperatures more often than the weather in Iceland! My husband went first and warned me. It goes from the temperature you set it for and then goes to cold and immediately to scalding hot! It could seriously burn someone!! I'm sure this happens often as I have seen it in other hotels because there are too many guests staying there
